How far are anglers prepared to go in pursuit of a carp ??… Send a drone up to spot the carp locate them then send the bait boat out with a rig all the while looking at your phone or tablet at the fish then when the boat draws near just drop the rig If I seen that going on at a lake I was fishing Il have to pack away and wouldn’t go back.

No fish this time but enjoyed the trip…. Had to sleep in one of them mummy style bags again as forgotten my bag the brother inlaw came to the rescue and brought some pegs for the den forgot them too.

On the subject of braid I use Berkeley whiplash in 0.8mm = 28lb straight through green in colour which fades over time it’s got a round profile which back in the day it never did have never used a shock leader with braid. Always wetted the line and reeled in with the tip sunk underwater if I was able.

Can I catch one tomorrow instead ? I won’t be catching it tonight for sure. Got all the gear ready and forgot got to be somewhere 🙄… so a very early morning start tomorrow

Yup that’s a shopping list alright… for me it’s got to be Korda Kranks , il blitz some of the Krill I got with some hemp in the blender add a good glug of cloudy kill with handful of dried skimmed milk with porridge oats. Il mix it on the bank if the carp are showing themselves 🤞

Sounds like a eventful trip congrats on the 3rd place 👍 The syndicate I fish let’s a local club fish a couple of matches each year and all the slivers go in the local river, they keep a record of the weight of fish taken out il try and find out what the weight is…. we got cormorants and Grebes on the water which help but in over 30 acres of water I thinks it’s a like a drop in the ocean

Maybe the post should read My personal best memory’s The Bass at a club record 12lb fishing into a big surf at dawn Two Cod at 8lb and 9lb from the beach in the dark with no headlamp..I always wanted a double 😞 The big Common from Oxlease, sadly no longer with us had the fish by fishing the opposite of what everyone else was doing Watching family, friends, and complete strangers catching their 1st fish while using my rod The three 2lb plus Roach on a feeder Finally and finally when it all came good on a French lake A bag full of Mackerel and feeding the campsite with them And recently a couple of low 20’s from my syndicate So many good times and adventures with friends some who have sadly passed away 50 + years of fishing with many memories the above is just a snippet of them … I do hope for many more 🤞

I also think it’s down to the lake your fishing at Linear as we all know Hemp and sweetcorn is the base mix with some boilie but I took a sack of hemp and maze to a lake in France along with boilies after hearing the crazy amount of particle they put in but then saw the amount of silverfish they were catching I thought that’s a no no… I didn’t get one Bream just all Carp and just fed the boilies.
