For smaller waters I use a cut down match rod that I snapped a foot off the end 😞 great rod for carp low doubles even use a spinner rod, On the over end of the scale Iv used a big Nash controller had to be over 3oz could have been 4 oz ? with a 3lb carp rod on linnar man that float could fly 😳 …sadly I remember my mate playing a good fish on Oxlease in the bay at the back of the island using a floater rod it was bent double folded right over just couldn’t do anything with it and snapped him… he actually threw the rod into into the air landing it in a blackberry bush.. I got ripped to pieces trying to get it out 🙄…happy days 😄

Bits and bobs from Bank Tackle just under £14 thought I’d give them a go as you all go on about them…the quality looks good and at a fair price 👍 The Fox bobbin weights were £5 delivered..

A sad day Iv had to retire my Nash rucksack 😔…. But it’s turned into a happy day as Iv replaced it with a Drennan Specialist 40ltr. I tried my flask in the side pocket in the tackle shop and it just fits so passed the test 👍 I like how the waterproof base material extends up the sides of the pockets, which most tackle companies don’t have. £60

I can get most of my terminal bits and bobs in there but for the rest I got the Korda bag with the pop in tray, tackle box fits snugly on top I got a small bag I put my electrical gear in, camera, head, torch, power bank and a iPad sometimes. This bag cost me well under a £10er from lidl, or was it Aldi 🤔 @framey if you put both tackle box’s side by side theirs not much difference in them as you said the Korda feels nicer to the touch.

Was thinking of getting a Ridge Monkey toaster this weekend the small one. I use a pan for cooking and thinking the Ridge monkey be less bulky.

it was interesting… And if I ever fall off me ladder and hit my head and went over to the dark side and then I got me a bait boat, I would be boating a lead to the island margins on a marker rod feeling for the fable Donk and making sure there’s no snags. 🤔 I always drag a lead in the near margin before I fish it just to check for obstructions.
