    I learned a valuable lesson on my latest tripā€¦ when you put a handful of boilies in your pocket to feed a margin swim first check that you empty your loose change from said pocket, I was literary throwing money away šŸ˜

    A blank for me again but I did enjoy the trip I only done the one night after seeing the forecast for the nx day which was for it to be windy and rainā€¦always nice to pack up when itā€™s dry

    Well Iā€™m finally on the bank for what could be a couple of nights. Rods are out and the kettle is on the go. Got a good book on the kindle to finish and the dab radio as a back up.

    I've seen a guy on the canal with a weed rake and asked him the same he said he used the rake when he got to the swim then set up and fished

    My son was never interested in going fishing more into his snooker and pool which he played at County level but I was a foster carer for awhile and took a young lad for a overnight trip he was a bit hyper so I found if I got him up at the crack of dawn on the day of the trip he slept through the night šŸ˜‰

    Thanks for the above adviceā€¦I come to the conclusion that i got to move my butt if Iā€™m to get fishing šŸ¤” so itā€™s going to be after work-early morning sessions. Fish light and leave the kitchen sink at home It has been so frustrating not getting out ā€¦almost as frustrating as a eunuch looking after a top notch Harem šŸ«£

    How do you find the time to fish ? The past month has been hectic for work and family commitments and I canā€™t see it improving soon but Iā€™m grateful for the work tho I was up the ladder the other day and I noticed the wind changed direction and thought to myself the fish will be on the move and Iā€™m stuck in work šŸ˜” Seems like the summer is drifting away and Iā€™m not on board

    When I was a kid I used to throw a handful of fine dirt at my homemade quill float for the Roach it would work for a short while then Iā€™d move along the bank and repeatā€¦. Happy days.
