Was going to put the pics in a view from a bivvy chair 🙄 Had a go at sea fishing with bait last time was in 1986 I remember the date as that was the year I finished fishing with a local club and had enough of the comps and big opens every Sunday I used for the trip my 3 1/2 test rod and 8k reel with a shock leader 4 oz lead good up to a 5oz .. wow was getting great distances

My fishing buddy has lost his sense of smell since the early days of Covid…which like he said it’s God send with me riding in the car with him 😏

Been using this magnifying glass past couple of years got a built in light which helps and doubles up as a bivvy light

Nice 👍 I use a Korum accessory chair very stable but gets uncomfortable after a while, I also had the adjustable rod arm but couldn’t get on with it only had to move a little and it looked like I had a bite…it came in handy once when I have a run in with an aggressive mouse I had the beast cornered in the shed we had a bit of a standoff somewhat similar to a Clint Eastwood spaghetti movie after a tense 5 mins he made the 1st move and I whacked him with the rod arm it broke and literally so did the mouse 🤢

I think it’s called “Carpy looking” when they get dirty. Il be taking two of the 8k’s sea fishing soon. Got two spare spools the deep ones that come with the reels load them up with line and shock leaders … did you manage to get shallow spools after ?
