Tree123 got a reaction from jh92 in Losing the buzz
So I took a few weeks and I havnt missed carp fishing at all, but I was really missing catching perch so I went out for a few hours this morning and had one of about 1lb -1lb and 4oz I dont really pay that much attention to weight but I'm got the buzz back well for perch anyway.

Keeping it varied makes a lot of sense, I definitely over saturated myself with carp fishing, the break did me good for sure and I've started rock climbing now aswell so between the two I and go what I love which is be outdoors and kept it varied

Well in mate. I don’t think I’ve ever lost the buzz of fishing but there’s no way I could just carp fish exclusively,I know some do but it’s just not me. Had this fella this morning and I’ll probably be river and silver fishing for the next few months before my carp head gets back on. Well done and glad your enjoying your fishing, mate. 😬😎🎣

If I ever come up with a good idea and patent it then you bet I'll want to earn out of it !!

I think Nige's makes a good argument I certainly don't think he's showing bias (which I imagine must be quite difficult in a conversation such as this one!).

What about the kettles and stoves then? Pay a good few quid extra for a trakker logo on the side? Naughty that.
Like Nige says, most of it adapted for anglers in one way or another. But sometimes it’s straight up the same product with a logo on. Or logo taken off. Can not justify that.

this is the sort of thing that really boils my pee (said in context) there are loads of examples like this in the angling/camping world.... and to my mind the carping tackle manufacturers need a damn good kick up the chuff and told to stop being a bunch of thieving knobs....
one thing that made me laugh was the £10 baccy pouch from Diem..... a solution to a problem that doesn't exist... as with a lot of stuff from manufacturers.... as for the £7 bore tool.....??? I use a pen knife.. cost me nowt as it was me dad's pipe cleaning knife... bait drill...? I use a drill bit... bait table...?? Gelert table from Go... £6.99... instead of £18 at AD... with loads of stuff you can save a fortune just by looking in your local camping shop or pound shop... bungee's for your barrow.... £1 in The Pound Shop... Spam £1 from the same shop Sweetcorn 4 pack for a quid.... look around you'll find loads of options to Tackle Manufacturers rip off's

Tree123 got a reaction from yonny in 10 foot spod rod
For me I only fish small waters now And dwarfs/ scopes are just easily for storage and getting car.
I'd only want a spod rod to get past the seagulls and when using particles

Tree123 got a reaction from elmoputney in So what's changed then since I've been gone ?
Chods and stiff ds are personally all I use now. Mainy because there so simple to tie and it take very few componets to do it . But once I've used the last so my live system I'm gonna just use tigers hemp and maize ( need to save up and get my sorted now really) so I think 99% of my fishing will just be helicopters with balanced tigers on stiff ds but we have different ways so approaching stuff and though patterns

Personally I think ronnie is a bit of a sheep rig everyone using it as it's the videos and in articles

Believe the head bayiff left aswell and hinted at an otter problem as was spoken about it on the carp cast.
My both the club near me appear to be burying there head un the sand with otters. There has only been one confirmed otter body found but still
If the any if my waters get uttered it shall be a sign to get a set of golf bats

I'd expect they's be just as good quality as the tat the tackle firms re-brand and sell at extortionate prices.

The surplus is fair bit cheaper plus I already have the surplus waterproof jacket already.
And yeah Yonny you right. Like to get as many opinions as I can hence to posts on two forums

Drennan Match anglers or ESP Carp salopettes are the best fishing ones. If you do look at others, I would actually be looking at skiing salopettes, but MTP Military ones do look pretty good:
