This is where my point exactly comes to pass. The DWP cannot afford to be giving funds to Albanians, to Romanians, Nigerians, and pick any number of nations who are leaving their own countries because in Britain they can get benefits for doing nothing. Why should we fund and pay for criminal lifestyles? Which is happening! In Ipswich as a Loss Prevention officer, the majority of my cases were Romanian shoplifters, who did it for a living. In London, Nigerians were credit card fraud, Albanian drug dealers and various Eastern Europeans and all getting benefits, more than I live on now as disabled! Britain's political system is broken, it needs reform, but that is reform with no political parties.

Then as I'm not buying a new 1 man bivvy and going back to my old Avid brolley system I justified that the money saved could be spent on the Fortis Tundra 🤣 Got the bottoms from the show with a £20 discount. Then the coat after at full retail 👎 Oh and the Diawa 18 Emblem Spod 35 SCW QD Reel because my Shimmy Spod (new) ceases up whenever it's left out in the rain or damp (rubbish, what a let down thats been). Think thats it, broke but happy! 😁😎

I'm not offended, but I'm offended by our leaders. George Bush and Tony Blair wanted to be remembered as great leaders, instead they created ISIS, and a series of failed states. Iraq and Iran have gone to hell in a handbasket, Syria, Afghanistan, all from going back into Iraq. Thing is we can call fascism for being on the right, but equally we have our Karen's and woke brigade calling fascism just for disagreeing. At some point we do need to stop incoming boats, that is not fascism. Not all of these refugees are refugees, some are economic migrants. This may be worth a read, long winded I know: I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it was, as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. Then came the stinky winky. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table ... everywhere! Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And others birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food. After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio. Soon, the back yard was like it used to be ..... quiet, serene.... and no one demanding their rights to a free meal. Now let's see...... Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care and free education, and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen. Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an a&e doctor; Your child's class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English. Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to 'press one ' to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than ”ours” are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties. Just my opinion, but maybe it's time for the government to take down the bird feeder. 🤷🤷 I'm going back to them. I do as little supermarket shopping as I can, I buy my meat and veg from local stores, loose.

Hot weather I frequently don't bother with a shelter at all as long as I have somewhere shady for Sky, and she can paddle.

What annoys me is the lack of a universal payment for all, the more money people have to spend the more the economy grows something both labour and the green party occasionally bring up but shy away from when the right wing press talk it down. Same for pensions I have payed in well over the amount needed for a state pension I even got my letter a few years back confirming what I will get, yet in Russia of all places the age for a state pension is 53, I'd be due my pension this year if I was Russian.

The syndicate carp lake anglers have been keeping any Tench they catch and transferring them to the two course lakes must have had around 15 to 5 lb ish put in there so far. I used a 10ft feeder rod 8lb main line and 6lb hook length in the summer months go up to 8lb 12-14 hook this handles the carp which average 8-10 lb ok but had them to 14lb Occasionally I put a second rod out which is a 8ft spinning rod almost like a fly rod action which can handle the carp to, use that with a half oz bomb…. Not much weed at the lakes and so much fun. My pb tench is 7lb ish but that was on carp gear had it at the carp society horseshoe lake a male fish.

You can sell the infinity spool for 40 and make a profit. Result 🤣

Not sure I would trust them long term but they certainly have bigger fish to fry in the short term. I think we are facing much bigger issues than banning fishing though at present, labour and tories both complicit in a genocide a vote for either is a vote for evil. The right wing chancers reform are just a bunch of lying racist fascists, quite frankly if you have a decent independent in your area vote for them or nothing will change

As the cost of fly fishing has escalated in the last few years I decided to do a bit of coarse fishing. Floating crust is a great way to fish on my local Claygate Lakes but getting the crust to the far side of the water was tricky so I now squeeze the soft bit of the crust on the hook and cast it just like a fly. Apart from catching those damned Alder trees it works well. I probably only successfully hook one in ten takes, though. I have tried the 'carp flies' imitating bread and dog biscuit but the fish are too wary for that sort of rubbish!

Managed to get out yesterday with my mate in the afternoon for a couple hours in between the rain, and the sun actually came out. I gave my mate his Xmas presents, a bit late but he was knocking on death’s door after Xmas so handed over 4 tubs of various pop ups and wafters I had given to me 😉 and sat down with him to play guess the smell which is always funny 🤭 as he lost his sense of smell after catching Covid two years ago. Looks like he’s due for a pacemaker around May which as I said could come in handy for charging is phone in emergencies. We fished a small water where we could park up close to the swim I had 2 small carp on the light gear and he managed the one he was over the moon with it biggest smile Iv seen on his face since I had the galloping trots after a iffy curry. The water looked dead so after a lifeless 2 hours in the 1st pic of the swim we moved to a corner and had 3 in as many casts.

When I use the spinner rig I have the crook of the swivel to the back of the hook just in case the silicone splits and the crook damages the mouth any more than just the hook does when in the lip
