Right guys thought I may do a little blog of my session today The car is packed and ready, just waiting baton in hand to pass it on to Mrs Putney then I can hit the road , need to stop off for milk and possibly a McDonald's on the way but its looking like I should be there for midday to see what is in store swim wise its now in the lap of the carp gods as to who is already there, hoping to have the place to myself tonight but depends on day anglers and I'm not sure if there is 1 other booked on or not, looks pretty good conditions for this new moon night out, other than a little too much wind lol, got the overwrap cos it looks like it may get cold ish overnight but I'm pretty confident and fairly well prepped and organised, got 6 pva bags loaded and ready to rock clip em up, tie em up, chuck em out maybe a couple of spods over the top, get a bite oooosh, that's the plan ππ I am really excited the way you should be before a session I think π€π€π€π€π€π€π2 points -

Rod licence issue
elmoputney and one other reacted to greekskii for a topic
I thought that was their initial plan, a 1-2-3 rod license options. I have this debate loads with an angling group I sit on. It's often mentioned rod license income is down, I remind them that they reduced the price for 3 rods, and although it's slightly increased on 2 rods there is still a loss of a couple quid. That adds up. It's not the sole reason sales/figures are down but it contributes. When you think its Β£9 cheaper to have a 3 rod license than it was before to buy two 2 rod licenses, now think of the number of carp anglers in the country (assuming they all buy licenses) and add it up. There's a HUGE loss straight away.2 points -

That dodgy quick change clip aint part of the Korda cog kit, makes me wonder if they've bodged it all together out of random bits. Maybe the swivel barrel that fits the lead is different too, which might explain why it's not released the lead. All what? If used correctly there's nowt wrong with tubing and a lead clip imo, cog or otherwise.1 point

Is there any need for all that though Yonny? Were just fishing, there was a good 10 foot of line still attached which makes me think the owner didn't even bother to try and unhook the duck just cut the line and no doubt set another up?1 point -
Stick the 3rd rod out at night when everyone is asleep lol1 point

Nice fishing could do with some bark on the paths. Empty 5 litre water bottle trucker style i'm sure ridge monkey will have a green one out at some point.1 point -

Bunker on the spit up the road, could say its muddy π Been an enjoyable afternoon, managed to leave my back door keys in my pocket so had to go home again , but that may be a blessing in disguise as I've moved in next to someone who caught 3 so hopefully I can get one nice fish to π Still messing about but there is a chance and I'm looking forward to the night ahead π1 point -

For self-takes Iβm still happy using a bulb release with my old Nikon D40 (35mm Lens)π¬Tempting to upgrade but there always seems to be an unexpected bill round the corner. My session this week never happened due to me driving into some flood water in the middle of rural Shropshire. Result was a garage bill just shy of Β£600π³1 point -
