Roughtor Posted April 6 Report Posted April 6 I got the Carper speedflex pop up cradle ,it's extremely light ,which is what I wanted ,and folds up really easily .. Not used it ,til I fish next, but initially, think it'll be spot on jh92 1 Quote

Like you I chase the weight. I'm always looking to save a few grams here or there (in fact I just bought a titanium cup for silly money (🤦♂️).... that's how anal about weight I am). I have several shelters but I always use either the mk1 Tempest Brolly or mk1 Lo Pro.. just because they're light. I still have an original Supa Brolly kicking about somewhere... also mega light. One thing that winds me up.... as new versions are released (Tempest mk2 and RS, Lo Pro mk2 etc etc) they ALWAYS put on weight. Thicker material etc. I hate that! It's the £££££££ they are putting on the moment that get me nearly a grand nowadays, mental money for a tent and you still need extras with most. Roughtor, commonly and yonny 1 2 Quote

Problem is you use them, dry them, use them, dry them and after a week or two they absolutely stink of silt and god knows what else. I binned mine after a month. They were rank! elmoputney 1 Quote

They go right upto my arm pits so will be able to wade out further with more confidence, adjustable at the waist so not overly baggy it you don't want that. Comes with repair kit and wader bag with mesh sides. I'm not using that obvs. Said to be breathable so may be able to keep them on without getting too hot. elmoputney and Roughtor 2 Quote

I know what you mean ,I used some Gull wetsuit booties ,they were great til the warmth made them sweat a bit ,proper stinky ...then I tried carp tec welded socks ,they were good but wore out.. yonny and kevtaylor 2 Quote
