elmoputney Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 Hi all I used to keep my pop ups and hookbaits in the fridge but I read somewhere this is bad? I seem to have some nibblers going for them in the garage and the fridge would help solve that part of the issue Is it OK to keep them in the fridge or bad? Quote
framey Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 I keep my extra ones in the freezer this normally consists of me buying them in different colours and sizes and mixing them all up into 1 pot which comes with me elmoputney 1 Quote
crusian Posted February 15, 2020 Report Posted February 15, 2020 I have an old , unplugged , chest freezer which is cold , and more importantly sealed from furry critters . All my bait goes in there , and it doesn't seem to affect it . 😃 elmoputney 1 Quote
elmoputney Posted February 15, 2020 Author Report Posted February 15, 2020 I just spotted I can turn the fridge right off so that will stop the little bleeders That's not an excessive hookbait range, is it? Quote

B B Posted February 15, 2020 Report Posted February 15, 2020 I don’t mind keeping my hook baits in the cold better than them getting to warm tho. I keep my particles and pop ups in a metal bins with a lid in the shed..... just keep a lookout for mice with a tin opener ! carpyian, finchey, crusian and 1 other 1 3 Quote

emmcee Posted February 16, 2020 Report Posted February 16, 2020 Well they say a lot of flavours catch the angler and not the fish. crusian, oscsha, Its-grim-up-north and 1 other 4 Quote

elmoputney Posted February 16, 2020 Author Report Posted February 16, 2020 I've been reckless lately I left my retro baits invoice out "£90 on boilies she said" I said well I did buy quite a lot so they will last, all the time thinking she hasn't noticed the pop ups, wafters bait spray and 2kg of 12mmers 😅 She also saw my receipt from yesterday I said a lot of that was the kids rods and bits 😂 crusian and yonny 1 1 Quote

She did get into the habit of going into my fishing tackle and freezer and stealing bait if she could; ready mades, particles, tiger nuts. I have to lock my internal doors as well as the front door if I go out. I make some of my own pop-ups, the Garlic and Megaspice ones, they just get air dried and stored in the tub in my bait bag with the rest of the pop-ups. I don't bother with keeping them in the fridge. elmoputney 1 Quote
