  1. Never said i wasn't happy about option being available !!!
  2. I blame Alan Blair LOL,. The waters I'm fishing at the moment mean i use my 11 or 12 ft rods . As others have said I do see a use for shorter rods but not as all rounders , but its fashion same as using big pit reels for everything .
  3. I don't know but it wouldn't surprise me.
  4. @smufter out of interest what happens if you want to stay longer than booked but someone else has booked your swim and the carp are in your area ? p.s nothing personal against you just that your chosen water uses the system .
  5. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is choose a swim before arriving IMO.
  6. Your brave , make sure your mum is out for about a week after making if doing the above LOL you could also try asafoetida oil LOL
  7. I wonder who's idea it was originally to book swims , a bailiff with a favorite swim maybe No booking swims would mean you could move .Would do my nut in if I see fish and could move due to a swim being booked and seeing it empty for hours .
  8. wow says more about society than rules ! So even with rules in place this still happens instant BAN imo . You'll always get idiots unfortunately carp fishing seems to attract its fair share.
  9. Having to book swims and not being allowed to move is CRAZY !! I wonder what the reasoning behind this rule is @smufter The fish may not be pristine due to the rules , but more due to the stock levels and volume of anglers and captures .Agree with you about runs waters not nice to see fish in ropy condition .
  10. Having to book swims and not being allowed to move is CRAZY !! I wonder what the reasoning behind this rule is @smufter
  11. Same here ,although one syndicate I was on we used to have to phone the guy to let him know we where going , that was more so he could monitor the water . You need freedom to move around ,you could maybe ask the reason why it could be that they have had issues with litter or trouble makers .
  12. If your rods worked 10 years agao they will still work now , stick with what you know and have to start with . Carp fishing has its fashions .
  13. couldn't agree more , they are at cost though 'honest gov' lol
  14. I may be wrong but i read the question that OP has the Nash bedchair and is asking if the Trakker chair will fit on this .
  15. Do you mean this one https://www.anglingdirect.co.uk/trakker-rlx-combi-chair?gclid=Cj0KCQjwj_XpBRCCARIsAItJiuQdvaptOhXXZ1Cc4ff5Wwxtg-7f3r-IGXzz3eUs4bPN8z5tIq9YXN0aAm5CEALw_wcB Looks like the back legs fold down so it should fit most bedchairs , maybe see if any local shops have any in stock to try . P.S might be worth altering the thread title
  16. Couldn't agree more , as they get bigger they will dictate the market so higher prices & less choice . Like most things in life these days money talks .very sad if you ask me .
  17. I won't often cast to one random showing fish , but if there is activity in an area or one fish showing in the same area over a period of time , even just 10 minutes then I'll put a bait out . You sometimes just go with your gut feeling . I done a night last week and had one fish at 2am , by 1st light there where fish showing at the other end of the lake so I moved and in the last 3 hrs had another 3 fish .
  18. That's if the several hundred Cormorants haven't snapped them up .
  19. No need to bite I put a smiley face , was meant light hearted hence the smiley ! Grayling is a good one as they are often caught while game fishing
  20. You know its simply , Sea , Game or Coarse , Carp fishing IS coarse fishing !! Just seems an odd way of describing a bit of general fishing as coarse fishing on a carp forum when carp fishing is a type of coarse fishing.
  21. Haha yes general coarse fishing , as opposed to game or sea fishing . When you go carp fishing your still coarse fishing
  22. Yeap couldn't agree more do 'general ' fishing my self , not sure why the thread was titled coarse fishing thats all .Carp fishing is a sub category of coarse fishing is it not .
  23. Is carp fishing not coarse fishing
  24. I'm probably going for the backpack version , the Avon skin so soft is ok but like you say you need to keep applying
