  1. Not sure on the stone grade but something like this may work - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-Electric-Pet-Dog-Cat-Nail-Grinder-Paws-Grooming-Trimmer-Clipper-File-Tool-UK/401968060585?hash=item5d9729d8a9:g:osEAAOSweI9d15yt
  2. Your alarms are so loud you wake up but are blinded by the bivvy light , you knock your bivvy table over and can't hit the run as you can no longer find your branded carpy hat and there is NO way your going to be seen playing a fish without looking proper carpy .
  3. Sorry @Yonny for going off topic .Great read I sharpen my own but also use the JS ones more and more now , the other ones I like are sharpened mugga hooks well worth the extra few pound per pack .
  4. i'm sure a mod who works for Nash wouldn't trying using the forum to market Nash items , oh hang on lets have a look at the Cyprinus bedchair thread
  5. Why do people confuse advances in comfort i.e bedchairs etc with advances in technology , one doesn't affect angling ability where as the other can . In the UK we have people turning up on small waters i.e 2 acres using fish finders I know the argument goes as long as they are happy etc etc . But this will damage fishing long term IMO. You may as well sit in a field and play a computer game .
  6. I love wearing non carpy gear just to wind the have it all's up LOL .
  7. Some of the things so called named anglers get up is unbelievable to say the least .
  8. @carpepecheur I admire your thinking but I think your over thinking the situation . You could argue that even putting any bait in or removing any weed or silt is messing the ecosystem up . Why pick on the poor old salt granule.
  9. mmm none of those do away with watercraft though , I was fishing the other week only 6 acres or so walked round thought I saw some reeds moving so set up rigs out etc . A little while later a guy turns up starts casting his deeper out all over the place , then sets him self up next swim along from where I am . Using a fish finder is not fishing IMO .Would he have still setup and fished if he couldn't find them on his fish finder . Just not for me . P.s we both blanked LOL
  10. have you tried your password for captainsmirnoff and blob99 on your bluelabel a/c ?
  11. are you really Bluelabel lol maybe your so famous the imposters are out .
  12. Did admin not link Bluelabel to your secondary email ? looks like this is maybe what they done going by the above.
  13. Difficult one for admin/ mods as they can only use your registered email accounts otherwise anyone could claim someone else loggin details . Have you checked your spam folder ?
  14. Calm down fella , its a 2 acre pond with a booked swim . Not much to say other than use any fishing skills you may have . Sweetcorn and maggots with this cold weather .
  15. Each to there own , carbon monoxide kills . I used to use a Tilley lamp for sea fishing would I want one near a flammable bivvy NO , plus the ligh ouput you'll be lighting up half the bankside lol . LED's and warm clothing
  16. I can't believe they even sell so called bivvy heaters !! A guy in Angling ~direct tried selling me one , even after me telling him my 7 year son was doing the night with me , I think the look on my face told him all he needed to know . PLEASE PLEASE just use proper thermal clothing , any heat source is always going to be restricted due to the thermal properties (lack of) of the the bivvy any way. Carbon monoxide kills with NO warning . As for pointing towards a youtube video to try and prove a gas heater is safe REALLY , are all tents / bivvies the same size , material , ventilation . Just imagine your next of kin telling the coroner - well he watched a youtube video and the guy in it said they were safe to use . Buy proper clothing .
  17. Agree , far to many anglers choose gear on looks rather than how it performs for the given situation .
  18. With all due respect you don't know how much the maize will expand and how quick once eaten !! Some will be crushed by the carp so the tough outer is broken ,how do you know what effects the digesting acids in the carp effect the maize ? Placing maize in water to see how much it expands is NOT what happens when eaten by carp. Surely your better off playing it safe rather than risking unknowns .
  19. Fish can go on a feeding frenzie over live bloodworm and jokers , but will also get pre occupied on it and ignore other items . Dead bloodworm would be a waste of money.
  20. Korda boys get paid to push them though
  21. Don't see anyone poo-pooing free-lining , its just not the ideal method for all situations , same as traditional gear . We all fish for different reasons and with different gear and as long as what you do makes you happy thats all that matters. Most fishing gear has evolved to allow for different fishing situations , a Mitchell 204 would struggle with your 60-70 maybe a 300 size a modern aero style reel would make the cast easier . Again we all fish to make us happy and I love the pics of your gear @bluelabel tightlines .
  22. Hi , 1st off I know nothing about bait boats so can't really point you in the right direction. All I would say is check that the waters he fishes allow the use of bait boats as a lot don't .
  23. Couldn't agree more with you both .
