  1. Having a bad reaction to bites two weeks on the trot , I'm looking into this is there one you would recommend I'm thinking the one that uses a normal gas canister
  2. Its certainly a tactic that can work , but I'm not sure you can replace all the other methods of catching for this (zigs). Although it would pose the question as to what would happen to the fish weights and even health in some waters if no one used any food source baits .
  3. My point being if they are shelf life then there is no need to freeze and would be a lot easier for the OP to use and store .
  4. Are they shelf life or frozen when purchased ?
  5. Nah he was fishing next to Uri Geller
  6. If your moving around with out seeing fish or targeting a specific fish then I would class that as roving on the other hand if your following (stalking) a specific fish then this is stalking , just remember you need to see your prey to be able to stalk it . Any uncertainty should be cleared up by the dictionary term of stalking or the hunters term .
  7. Sorry Teo , thread got side tracked when swlakes trust was mentioned seems to be two threads in one . Did you have any joy the other day or any sightings ?
  8. We will have to wait for Greekskii to answer but I read his reply as fact , to quote him - 'Disagree, I fished a 16 acre pit that had only been fished once before in the past. We used boilie only and caught from the very first trip.' So it does not really matter who wrote what Greekskii is saying what has actually worked for him .
  9. In your opinion , although I agree corn would be good I wouldn't dismiss boilies . As Yonny says hemp and boilie tactic is a good one. I was simply pointing out that we know from the OP that carp are present .
  10. Opening post says carp are present .
  11. You stalk your prey if you can't see your prey how can you stalk it ? Its all fishing and as long your enjoying what you do then it doesn't really matter
  12. Is the lake part of this trust ? https://coarse.swlakesfishing.co.uk/
  13. So would I LOL , I've got a dodgy shoulder and I'm no good with a throwing stick . Twas only a suggestion maybe a rocket launcher
  14. Spot on Stalking your prey or trapping your prey
  15. Forum are a discussion I've been wrong before , you enjoy your style of fishing then thats great but it is not stalking nothing pompous in that its just a fact For you and others a small light weight brolly may be use full I've not said otherwise . I will repeat you cannot redefine the meaning of stalking just to suit your self
  16. looks pukka , lucky to have a nice clear swim on an unfished lake normally overgrown . Keep us up todate on any catches & good luck .
  17. Eh , Didn't say you can't use a chair !!! Stalking is roving looking , moving keeping your wits about you constantly . Unfortunately stalking is not what Dicky seems to think it is . You cannot redefine the meaning of stalking !! Just because you believe what your doing is stalking doesn't mean you are see snowmansteves reply above which is spot on! Use a brolly if you want BUT how can you move quickly if you've put a brolly in the ground , how can you watch the water while putting or taking down the brolly . Stalking and moving swims are two totally different things .
  18. Angling does indeed mean different things to different folks but you can't redefine the meanings to suit .
  19. HaHa , try it I live it LOL . here you go one of many https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New-45-PVC-Fishing-Umbrella/172964489570?hash=item28457ca962:g:hu4AAOSw4DJYiP00, Stalking is different to locating the fish then setting up !
  20. No reason why not , throw some in to see ( I'll come along and help if you want )
  21. Is that not part of stalking though !!! Your on the move looking creeping moving quick when you see signs , why would you want to 'set up' in a swim with brolly etc thats not stalking , you don't always need short rods for stalking either .
  22. This time of year try simple floating bread crust .
  23. If its coming via a courier thats a lot of trust in the courier , if your collecting then shouldn't be an issue . Looking to do a French trip in a few years can't wait .
