  1. I bought one recently unfortunately haven’t had chance to give it a go yet so can’t comment on usability, although looking at instructions seems very simple to use and I think will do the job it’s designed to, hopefully getting out tomorrow after a nightshift so may give it a go and report back 😁
  2. Hopefully not the same one I nearly bought for £50
  3. Prologic also do one (I use it and it’s fine) I also recently saw one on eBay from a company called sabre, looks quite nice and around the £50 mark....I was tempted
  4. That looks epic! Will we have the pleasure of a write up (on the fishing) after your trip?
  5. Oh and the t shirt....his mum sent it along with him when I picked him up Friday 🤣
  6. Yes mate me and all of my brothers and sisters where all white blondes as youngsters and I used to be far slender than I am now 🤣😂
  7. @crusian I forgot I said i was going to put a pic up of my two so you and the missus could decide on if my kids look like me or the two different mums......so just for fun here we go
  8. Hate to tell ya mate but I’ve had a few ciders too 🤣😂 one of those that just plays with ya eyes I think
  9. Or you could pop down specsaver (other companies available) get the old eyes tested and read the post again........just pulling ya leg mate 🤣😂 one letter different N M and clouds is M M
  10. Shouldn’t this be part 3 🤣😂 id like to know where summer has gone too! We had had thunder lightning and torrential rain for hours last night/ early hours of this morning. Im currently getting ready for a night shift happy in the knowledge that I’m going straight to the lake once I’m finished and back in the area 😁
  11. Sweet.... I’ll bear that in mind 😁. Caught a barbel once before from some lakes near Coventry (I know it doesn’t count from a lake) but as a 13 ish year old I was well chuffed and fought like a demon too
  12. Sounds like your offering to be a guide 🤣😂 just pulling ya leg mate. The only rivers I’ve ever been near fishing wise are very small. Maybe one day I’ll get the chance/confidence to fish somewhere like the wye....
  13. lol 😂 thankfully not mate.....long story where she’s concerned one that I won’t go into but he’s definitely his fathers son.....him and his sister have different mums I’ll put a pic up and let you decide for yourself Yeah I feel your pain.......I use the road all the time as I live in Witham.....I could show you a nice little route around that mess though
  14. Yes mate.....very true indeed. Me and my limited “get out when I can” isn’t exactly the best scenario to be trying for a river carp 😞, although I guess if I’m there trying it ups my chance. 100% from not being there.... as for the wye.....now that’s a different beast! Good luck to you it’s certainly beyond me
  15. I’d love to have a river carp, tried and failed last year but I may give it another go this year and see what happens
  16. And my daughter comes down the river with me and to heybridge basin all the time was sitting on the roof of a boat with me on lake Garda last year...... but nope sitting under my brolly in Hatfield peverel is obviously just to dangerous 🤣😂 had some pics of the above to upload but seems I have done my limit on uploads.
  17. I get exactly what you are saying mate, and I did nearly lose my rag but kept it under control and was “the bigger person” I kinda understand where she was coming from but on the same hand she should have asked questions regarding my daughters confidence and experience around water instead of just assuming. Both of my children have grown up around water my son was out in the canoe with me from about two and falling asleep in it at three 🤣😂
  18. Love that last line 👌🏻 It’s me to a t

    Dogs and fishing

Might need to borrow your mate for some frenchie obedience glasses then 🤣

    Dogs and fishing

You sure it’s a frenchie smufter? That description couldn’t be further away from my frenchie 🤣😂 mines a little... (I best stop in my tracks I don’t want a ban)
  21. Glad I’m not the only one then......I was thinking I might be highly strung for a minute 🤣😂
  22. Nothing to do with the fishery itself. i just don’t take to kindly to someone that doesn’t know me (the lady at the end of the phone) commenting on my parenting and telling me that it’s irresponsible to take my three year old daughter to the lake with me. What she is un aware of is that that three year old probably has more sense around water than the clientele that where supping Stella the last time I walked round the lake. The same three year old that regularly walks the river with me and comes out in a canoe with me and happens to enjoy watching daddy fishing. Their loss not mine 🤣 I have plenty of places to fish on my doorstep
  23. I only posted it up as I randomly came across the thread on here mate and thought some may find the info useful, after a phone call this afternoon it’s highly unlikely that I would give them my money. As for the costs i think they are a little high so I would hope that the £250 is an all in 24/7 365 price
  24. As of the 1st of June this lake will be a members only/club lake.
  25. I realise the ultegra s are not up to the same level of the ci14 but I have ultegra xtb’s in 5500 and 14000 and cant fault them mate super smooth and a joy to use.....as you are aware my reviews Are not up to much 🤣😂 but based on my experience with the ultegra I can only inagine the ci14’d can only be better
