  1. Cracking shots mate! Got some skills with the camera, they’d look great on canvas 👏🏻
  2. Me again....I know nothing of the reels you mentioned so can’t say wether they will do the job or not......be prepared for the incoming shimano vs daiwa posts (notice how I put shimano first 🤣😂) also if you are looking at buying new reels a) you’ll need a budget in mind so people can give rellevant recommendations and b) you’ll need to know if you want bait runners or big pits or big pits with baitbrunner facility
  3. On the forum for caa mayevthey have a specific section for giving freebies to junior members 😉
  4. Ok so I had a look and I bought size 12’s I am normally a size 11 but.....dependant on certain brands of trainers I buy 11.5 or 12 so not much help really. Sorry mate @B.C.
  5. If I’m completely honest mate after consulting the sieve that is my brain I can’t remember what size I ordered, I can have a check for you and let you know if ya like. as for ease of removal ......they come off extremely easily and the inner sock/thermal bit generally leaves the boot with my foot 🤣😂 and then needs to be taken off (or in cold weather left on just in case I need to slip the boots back on quickly....never happens but ya never know )
  6. Yes the lining is removable 😉* * on the skee tex ultralights that I have.....not sure about the other options in range
  7. Spot on mate, light weight come with a thermal liner (I wear wool socks when fishing too) and they keep my feet nice and warm, as for the hard wearing I can’t really comment as I haven’t had them long enough. But at £30ish I think we’ll worth the money (even better with a discount) and I see a lot of people wearing them on the bank in the winter......so I think that says they are good
  8. Fosters (although now part of the ad group) are also doing the 10% off with FOSTERS10
  9. You been spying on me fella? 😝😉
  10. I can only echo the previous 4 posts, I also own a set of velocity 12ft 3lb’s and although they have been relegated to the tackle shed that is purely a convenience thing....they are not suited to the waters I’m fishing at the moment. I wouldn’t think twice about getting them back out if the water called for them. I loved using them......just too big for the tight swims/lakes I have been frequenting
  11. How much are you looking at spending? I have seen a 10ft Scope spod for sale on eBay today obviously on bids so don’t know what it will sell for but may be worth a look
  12. I can’t comment specifically but from what I have read and heard the Shona o range is very good. As for your english....it seems perfectly fine to me .....I’ve seen English people write a lot worse 🤣 hope you find the rite rods 👍🏻
  13. They look good, but being a long shank would need to check fishery rules as I’ve noticed a lot of fisheries seem to ban long shank and curved shank hooks, and obviously the Cvr is both. I’ve recently got some of the ridgemonkey hooks (blooming sharp!) not yet used them though....could be worth a look
  14. Only the once and can’t really comment as my surface fishing isnt really up to much 😂 I can tell you that a 10ft Scope can bring in a Canada goose flapping and squawking though
  15. Well I use my nash scope 10ft rods as my every day rods and also have the 6ft scopes as short session/river/canal/stalking rods, I can’t fault them in anyway, they pack down microscopically small and seem to be extremely strong capable rods, I used to use the dwarf 6ft rod(cheaper option) again extremely capable rod. But in answer to your our question I can’t see any reason that a 9ft rod wouldn’t be suitable for stalking
  16. Thought about boarding out the shed.....making it a bit more weather proof? At least you won’t see the black bit so easily on the black background 😝
  17. Lol 😂 or just wipe the mud off pal but yeah I get your thought process, even if it only lasts a few sessions is less money than most day tickets/ couple of bags of boilies etc

    Dogs and fishing

Elliot gray has a jack Russel that goes fishing with him, seem to see a lot of French bulldogs on the bank too, I think a lot of it comes down to training. Far more qualified people than me that can give advise though
  19. I have the bp4 matt black versions excellent reel for the money, can’t vouch for the dwarf models though
  20. Completely agree Didn’t know that but is useful to know :- as I have seen fly tipping near the river also as for your initial provocation/ sarcasm 😝😝 I guess I bit as you knew I would
  21. A) you are miss qouting me b) I’m not on a syndicate (I was referring to syndicates in general) c) that’s an opinion and not a fact! The ea do not always react example:- bayeswater had an oxygen crash Garry Bayes himself got an Aerator and got it into the lake within a couple of hours of the problem being realised....and then went on to instal a permanent Aerator powered by a windmill. Bayeswater had a weed issue in the shallows Gary again dealt with it himself out on the boat and put the treatment in club lakes :- have a self funded otter fencing program no ea help own Aerators that can be deployed to lakes as and when needed have been fly tipped in entrances and car parks cleared themselves (members ) or paid for rubbish removal company to remove to the dump and as side note Salok as a well respected member of the forum and a moderator you should maybe read the entirety of someone’s posts on a subject before jumping down their throat because they express an opinion you disagree with (which is obvious in your response) also if you are going to take “my scenario” quote what I actually said.... you know the bit where I said if the ea’s help is required by a syndicate they could invoice them for the work 😉 the scenario was “ if the club/syndicate is private and not asking for help from the ea why should you have to pay a licence fee to fish?....you shouldnt.”
  22. The defender shelter requires the defender shelter wrap the defender peak bivvy requires the defender peak overwrap the defender bivvy requires the defender bivvy overwrap hope that helps and hope this doesn’t confuse... ps the defender peak wrap would **probably** fit over the defender shelter but would NOT fit correctly and the peak would likely sag/ droop
  23. I completely agree I don’t have a great idea on how they work, what I do know is I have been fishing for at least 23 years and I have never had my licence checked. I have never seen any works being carried out on local rivers or lakes and I can count on one hand how many times I have seen an ea vehicle and I travel all over the country on a weekly basis. I think that if the efforts that they go to to do the things that they do where more in the public eye it would be far more widely understood why they exist and “what they do for me” as such. i know about the funding and the links with the angling trust and how they try to further the sport and river stocking etc but that still doesn’t answer the club/ syndicate question, if the club/syndicate is private and not asking for help from the ea why should you have to pay a licence fee to fish?....you shouldnt. Clubs and syndicates have insurance and therefore if they needed to call on the ea the ea could invoice for the work the club/syndicate claims on insurance pays the invoice...job done but for anyone like me that has asked the question “what do they do for me” https://environmentagency.blog.gov.uk/2017/02/13/so-what-do-the-environment-agency-do-for-us/?utm_source=EA&utm_medium=email&utm_content=short_term-db&utm_campaign=Feb17
