  1. Only used it in one session so far mate, on boreham mere, straight up the side of a set of pads purely for baiting accuracy. If it’s the water I’m thinking of you won’t need to worry about pads I’ve not seen any on there in two seasons as for weed.....now that’s another story! Maz for the over head branches.....now you know why I switched to scopes 😉 I think it was money well spent mate, all of the joints are reinforced obviously I can’t give to much of an in depth review as a) I’m rubbish at them and b) I have only used it once. Happy with it so far though. I’m sure that’s correct mate, only thing I’ll point out is the cygnet is only 12 meters vs the corus 18 meters, the cygnet is pole only whereas the corus comes with float and spoon . Also the cygnet extension pieces are in my opinion rather expensive and I think would take you way past the £150 mark to reach the same length as the corus
  2. That corus one is the one I have mate, if you want to take a look have a feel you know where I am 😉
  3. That is mr Edmonds himself casting the 10ft scope prototype :- * not sure of test curve though
  4. A) I didn’t pay £170 😉 b) I believe the snapping only affected the mk 1 rods ive Not seen anything relating to the mk2’s snapping c) did you see terry Edmonds reviews of them and how far he cast with them? I am not overly familiar with terry but I do know he’s a machine and can cast some serious distance (over 200yds with a scope prototype) either way each to his/her own I suppose, and can fully understand where you are coming from.....no doubt if I had read all the bad reviews I would have given them a wide birth but they perform fine for me and that’s all I can base my opinion on 😁
  5. Yes mate mk2 10ft 3lb cork handles, edit:- also have a 10ft 2.75lb shrink handle 2x 6ft 3lb cork handle sawn offs and 1 x 6ft 2lb dwarf.......and plenty of other nash gear ( to much if you asked the missus🤣😂)
  6. Nash do one that fits your description perfectly it’s called the “Nash black ops Patrol pack” I have one, you can fit plenty in it plus fit an extensive amount of outer pouches to the webbing if you so wish, it also has buckle fastening to attach the “Nash flat mat” i haven’t had any issues with mine at all and had it for two seasons out in all sorts of conditions. Obviously take notice of what others have said re quality as they obviously have personal experience using it and make your own mind up 😁
  7. I have mk2 scopes and loves them, plenty of deals to be had on scope rods if you look about mate.
  8. I have scopes of various varieties/lengths and have the skins/bags to match, nice and easy to carry with comfortable padded straps and the reel compartments are well padded along with a padded rod divider, may be worth checking out ebay/gumtree/ Shpock as they come up regularly in New and used conditions far cheaper than buying new.
  9. Cracking shots mate! Got some skills with the camera, they’d look great on canvas 👏🏻
  10. Me again....I know nothing of the reels you mentioned so can’t say wether they will do the job or not......be prepared for the incoming shimano vs daiwa posts (notice how I put shimano first 🤣😂) also if you are looking at buying new reels a) you’ll need a budget in mind so people can give rellevant recommendations and b) you’ll need to know if you want bait runners or big pits or big pits with baitbrunner facility
  11. On the forum for caa mayevthey have a specific section for giving freebies to junior members 😉
  12. Ok so I had a look and I bought size 12’s I am normally a size 11 but.....dependant on certain brands of trainers I buy 11.5 or 12 so not much help really. Sorry mate @B.C.
  13. If I’m completely honest mate after consulting the sieve that is my brain I can’t remember what size I ordered, I can have a check for you and let you know if ya like. as for ease of removal ......they come off extremely easily and the inner sock/thermal bit generally leaves the boot with my foot 🤣😂 and then needs to be taken off (or in cold weather left on just in case I need to slip the boots back on quickly....never happens but ya never know )
  14. Yes the lining is removable 😉* * on the skee tex ultralights that I have.....not sure about the other options in range
  15. Spot on mate, light weight come with a thermal liner (I wear wool socks when fishing too) and they keep my feet nice and warm, as for the hard wearing I can’t really comment as I haven’t had them long enough. But at £30ish I think we’ll worth the money (even better with a discount) and I see a lot of people wearing them on the bank in the winter......so I think that says they are good
  16. Fosters (although now part of the ad group) are also doing the 10% off with FOSTERS10
  17. You been spying on me fella? 😝😉
  18. I can only echo the previous 4 posts, I also own a set of velocity 12ft 3lb’s and although they have been relegated to the tackle shed that is purely a convenience thing....they are not suited to the waters I’m fishing at the moment. I wouldn’t think twice about getting them back out if the water called for them. I loved using them......just too big for the tight swims/lakes I have been frequenting
  19. How much are you looking at spending? I have seen a 10ft Scope spod for sale on eBay today obviously on bids so don’t know what it will sell for but may be worth a look
  20. I can’t comment specifically but from what I have read and heard the Shona o range is very good. As for your english....it seems perfectly fine to me .....I’ve seen English people write a lot worse 🤣 hope you find the rite rods 👍🏻
  21. They look good, but being a long shank would need to check fishery rules as I’ve noticed a lot of fisheries seem to ban long shank and curved shank hooks, and obviously the Cvr is both. I’ve recently got some of the ridgemonkey hooks (blooming sharp!) not yet used them though....could be worth a look
  22. Only the once and can’t really comment as my surface fishing isnt really up to much 😂 I can tell you that a 10ft Scope can bring in a Canada goose flapping and squawking though
  23. Well I use my nash scope 10ft rods as my every day rods and also have the 6ft scopes as short session/river/canal/stalking rods, I can’t fault them in anyway, they pack down microscopically small and seem to be extremely strong capable rods, I used to use the dwarf 6ft rod(cheaper option) again extremely capable rod. But in answer to your our question I can’t see any reason that a 9ft rod wouldn’t be suitable for stalking
  24. Thought about boarding out the shed.....making it a bit more weather proof? At least you won’t see the black bit so easily on the black background 😝
  25. Lol 😂 or just wipe the mud off pal but yeah I get your thought process, even if it only lasts a few sessions is less money than most day tickets/ couple of bags of boilies etc
