  1. I have four mk1 delk txi's and rx2004 receiver plus either 1 0r 2 original Delks (greedy I know) but they work and do what I require although remain mostly silent whilst I lake watch 😂😂 can't call it fishing anymore as I've not caught in so long....either way I love them and I'll keep them as long as they continue to work 😁
  2. As I said check eBay......and the "hazard a guess" that I put was after viewing prices on eBay and other selling sites and seeing what they where selling for. The old mk1 txi's still sell for £70 a pop so even on that basis that's £280 without mentioning the receiver! And I said £375 to £425 (high end of guess)
  3. Go on eBay mate and look at the prices that they are selling for......at a guess I'd say around the £375to £425 mark but obviously would depend on condition age etc
  4. I've just bought the chorus 18m one, not had chance to use it yet though, if I remember I'll report back once I have used it
  5. I have a scope ops brolly (Nash) you can pick them up quite cheap online if you look about, quick and easy to put up, you can also get a winter skin for them if you so choose
  6. I've heard good things about whychwood slugs... maybe worth a look
  7. I have a nash dwarf 6ft 2lb rod matched with a Nash bp4 reel and have had carp to 15lb 7oz on it and it performed like a dream. I'd be confident in catching a 20 on it. Maybe be worth having a look at them nash dwarf 6ft various tc's nash sawnoff 6ft various tc's (more expensive) nash black ops sawn off various tc's (more expensive again)
  8. I think you have hit the nail on the head their chillfactor...... you have to increase the price bracket to find better. When I was looking I couldn't find anything in the Same price bracket to compete
  9. I have three xtd 5500 and two 14000xtds and can't fault them lovely reels
  10. Yup! Not on your own mate. 3 options that I know of 1) shrink tube it 2) line aligner 3) when you do the turns down the shank do three turns pull the hair back over those turns then continue to the amount of turns you would normally do and then let the hair drop back......no doubt if any of that is wrong the pro's will guide you slightly better than me 😂😉
  11. I have recently changed from shimano dl10000 rb's to :- 1st shimano ultegra14,000xtds (now on 12ft rods) 2nd shimano ultegra 5500 xtd's (on 10ft scope rods) casting is far better, smoother, and just feel rite....as you say it's each to their own but I wouldn't go back to baitbrunners, I'm most definitely a big pit/ baby big pit convert 😁
  12. A similar thread that's very recent (the title escapes me) is available for you to read, I'm sure one of the other guys can give you a link to it. shimano tribal velocity's are worth a look around that money. good luck, and welcome to the forum
  13. Ex army arctic bag 👌🏻 Good down to minus 5 and I recon if you put a peach skin throw over the top down even further......must take into account air movement under the bed too! Always best to put bits and pieces rucksacks/tackle bags etc under the bed it helps to keep things warm 😉
  14. Shimano tribal velocitys prices vary but some cracking deals on eBay
  15. This surprises me mate, I was under the impression that the Citruz had a big following! My common yesterday fell to a washed out pink citruz pop up.
  16. Not yet mate, not had chance to speak to him yet.
  17. I just looked and you are quite correct they're not on the site, I'll try and find out from my man in the know 😉 If I mange to find out I'll come back to you on it
  18. Price on the Nash site is £5.99. Either way item. Umbers for the bay :- 331734176134 £4.99 and all the different size options
  19. Well that would depend on what you see as cheap.... I just double checked it before posting my previous comment and I found loads instantly at the general price I've seen them at previously
  20. Freely available on eBay mate, I have a pot in my collection 😉
