When you go with your 10yo daughter catch two smaller teens yourself and then you give her a rod in the morning, she cast it herself, 10 mins later while I am just wrapping up my rod, it rips off 21 1/2lb on the 7ft 2lb tc greys stalking rod, so proud right now, she did really well, we finished up doing some casting practice, she is on cloud 9 tonight. And so am I šĀ

I've been updated with my solicitor.
Claim has been put into the Defendant to there Main Head Office, due to me having to wait 6months for any result's, the claim has been put in for 6months wages, they take no more than 25%, there won't be a penny out of my pocket (written into contract)...8 weeks to reply.

The costs so far are around 3000 pounds that is just court costs, solicitors fees would be similar, the barrister consultation was 900, I got that at cost.
As I'm taking a bank to court on CC law for a amount less than 10,000 a legal firm won't touch it as the other side has three different legal firms working on it with the intention of running costs up above what the claim is worth and it is a very detailed bit of law, cheeky head lawyer for the defence said the court should kick the case as I'm not legally trained and wouldn't be able to prosecute the case,Ā yeah... I now have my hearing date in a upper court and I'm proper winging it, lol.

Finally got 2 nights in the new bivvy on a old estate lake. It's abit of a mystery what's in the lake. The current owners don't know what's in there.Ā
It fished steadily whilst the weather was nice. Then early hours Monday morning the wind changed n that was it for the fish
Managed to get a few nice grass carp on the bank, biggest was 17.76lb. Plenty of tidy sized tench, biggest was at 8.66(new PB). 2 small commons at 10lbs and a horrible snotty eel.

Did Thursday to Saturday in one swim this weekend, had a stocky on the stiff hinge rig in the thickest weed bed in the area.
Then back Sunday for the night as I was super keen having caught.Ā This time chose a swim round the corner as all the fish were there on top but despite expecting a take come first light nothing materialised so back home tail between legs.Ā Can't wait till Friday to get back down, but might have to fish a flooded swim just to get in the area if it's busy.Ā Loving my fishing more than ever at the moment - gotta keep pushing on!

Likewise but thankfully the need to spend fell on a sale weekend so I got some good deals.
So the ceramic lining on one of the butt rings on my Torrix has cracked and fallen out - my fault rod not secured and fell on the barrow.Ā I couldn't be without my babies for weeks in May/June so bought a new set of Aviators and Lighter reels than my Shimmy Big Pit LC's as much as I love them to bits.
Line, back leads, floss, butt and tip protectors, 3 x Delkim line clips oh and 50k of Pro Stim Liver boilies.
Oh and decided to get all 3 Torrix rebuilt instead of just a single eye replacement and the 3 Shimmy's serviced whilst I can be without them so to say it turned out to be an expensive weekend is an understatement.
Thats gotta be me done spending now for the year!

Another little mirror š
I'm home now, yesterday it rained relentlessly from around 11am all the way until 6am this morning, was driving towards the door so had the door down all day and night š¤š¤£
had 2 wicked battles in the night, wading out into choppy water with waves riding up my waders, big wind and heavy rain, loved it š¤£
There's was a break in the rain this morning so packed up and got out of there before the next lot hits which is due to last until late Monday, so called it quits lol.
Caught 5 carp in the end, 3 commons and 2 mirrors. 16mm white sticky krill pop ups done produced the most bites, so gonna have to up my game and start giving pop ups a try on different venues lol
Ā
There's some cracking fish in there and I can't wait to return in September šĀ
Now have the task of drying everything out š¤£

My mate had his first one this morning, just over 11lb.
Wicked looking fish, would love to know what strains are in here, there deffo seems to be some difference in the shapes etc.
I'd like to think it could be a decent fish when it's older lol.

Managed to get out for an overnighter on Friday. A little syndi water I joined last year. I managed a night in September and lost one in the weed which was a bit rubbish. Not had the chance to fish it again until Friday so I was buzzing to be back.
Anyway..... it was quite busy when I turned up. Managed to find the carp pretty quickly, shoaled up in front of a swim that was takenĀ š. Closest I could get was a swim down the way which was v tricky to get to. Loads of mud and puddles 6 inches deep meant that not many were prepared to fish it. On go the waders and I manage to get my barrow there eventually. The swim itself was underwater so it wasn't the most comfortable session. Found a spot for the brolly back behind some trees which was muddy but doable.
The swim was weedy as anything but managed to find a couple of little spots. Choddy but clear enough for a pop-up. The rods went out nicely and I put 2 spods over each rod. Not much happened in the day but I saw enough signs to think the night would give me a chance. Popped a couple more spods over each spot ready for the evening ahead and settled down for the night. Sometime in the night I started to get liners on the right hand spot so was pretty confident of a bite. Couple of hours later off it went and a nice little mirror ended up in the net just before first light. A lovely little fully scaled thing.
Thirty mins later the liners started on the left hand rod so I was expecting another but it just didn't materialise. Disappointing but hey, I'd just caught my first from the water so can't complain.
Showed the kipper pic to the syndi group and no-one recognised it. One chap said he might have had it on opening night in the 2015 season (!) so it looks like it's a rare'n. Not a biggun but a very, very pretty fish.
Not sure when I can get back now which is a shame as I really like the place despite all the mud!
