I need to learn to drive . I’m too old now I think ….

solve all my problems though .

got a couple of retired driving instructors relatives they say it takes a non driver their years in age to pass a driving test never too late, or you could try the freeman of the land approach, just sit in the car and refuse all offers, lol.

my cousin burnt out as a instructor really is a hard job, when i done my test the examiner failed me on the first test and she is friends of family members, don't get no nepotism in there.

  2. Ahh just like all good terriers if he needs a vet it will be on a bank holiday, he has a long dew claw that needs to come out looked like it was coming off, he caught it in his lead the other day and half ripped it out, to say he is not happy would be an understatement, still not aggressive from it though, he jumped on my bed yesterday and knocked it fighting me, proper lost it, still, we went out yesterday and he had a small child jump in front of him and do jazz hands, he gave her a lovely fuss even with his sore dew claw.

    Monster is lethal!

My daughter was told not to drink them as the sheer amount of sugar screwed up her diabetes and blood sugar.

Big Dave was drinking cans of Monster and started suffering fit's, seizures and his blood sugar levels have lead to diabetes.

In fact he is the person I had to jump in the lake to save and prevent drowning, holding him afloat and giving CPR for 45minutes until Emergency Services arrived.

I bought my youngest two children whips to start, until I was sure they were ready to deal with a reel.

Full kit, I think they were both by Middy who do do a complete kit.

    https://www.middytackle.com/product.php?ProductID=1112

The advantage of a short whip is that they or you, can underarm flick it out, no big worry for casting.

Both Lily and Levi started off like that catching small roach and perch.

What we used to do was take the fishing gear down to the park lake, with them on their bikes. They would fish for a while, get bored, go for a bike around, fish some more. While they were cycling I was testing the gear to name sure it was good. Great fun catching a few fish with no pressure, then they'd see and want to catch, so you end up teaching them feeding and catching unhooking etc.

If those monster drinks were sold as a solid block of the same ingredients sold as a pill or a smoking product they would be banned.

Well he forced me ( at gunpoint of course 😊) to take him again today .

Different venue and they weren’t quite as keen to jump on his maggots so he became quite restless early on .

I don’t think it’s going to be as easy as I thought it was and the secret seems to be to catch early on but credit to him , he was fishing in what seemed like 15 minute bursts and he got his reward in the end .

little fella looks keen after the large carp, he will be coming on every session be after a carp dog next.

  4. One last thing to work on and it's a big one, i may have to admit defeat, and get the dog training lady in she does classes and he needs better dog socialization skills, i can take him to a hound pack farm where they do classes, he is ok with other dogs so long as they don't react to him. a few classes with the right group of dogs will help he is fine with small dogs he does like to let the larger dogs know he has an eye on them. his posture can be on another level especially as we have been doing three to four long walks a day all his fat has burnt off looks ripped.

  5. Fredrick update. Coming along nice and steady very friendly and soft with us and most other people not keen on blokes who look like they are just out without any reason not a bad thing he just chuffs at them,  will let complete strangers handle him the lady in the pet shop fitted him a harness he was more than happy. other dogs, not as interested as he was a week ago, although he did try to batter a dalmation up the woods the other night, nothing major, the dog was off lead and went to approach mine but the other guy made a meal out of getting his dog on lead and stopping in a narrow gap of the path, bit of a clash when passing, the problem is my dog will go into cry and it can be a bit intimidating for other dogs. he is much better than he was and takes verbal commands to stop and stuff no treats needed just good boys. works every time.

    little swimming lesson just incase.

Off topic now........ Was there a member Nige Woodcock on here?...

He's in the latest Nash Video (family holiday)

good guy nige straight lace family guy so the video sounds about right, i will give it a watch later.

i can get a backlog of hook baits so i only buy what i need, i got ecton berry hard hookers, stink pink pop ups, peach and pepper wafters and pineapple pop ups. i will add P&P pop ups, ecton berry pop ups and that will be me, will also be using paste as a hook bait wrap.

  7. very nice you will have to train him to be a judas otter.

Shure i seen a flash of one the other day way too big to be a rat crashed through the undergrowth in a drainage ditch and off under a fence, could of been a mink the fur was too glossy and nice looking to be a rat.

I know a certain lake owner that bursts into rants about pictures of cute otters on shopping bags lol. the otter as it increases in number don't seem that interested in large fish especially in weedy waters, they seem to be looking for a regular and easy food source. i know in Alaska the otter all live around people raiding bins and fish factory waste and that's with salmon in ankle deep water on their last legs.

  9. i have upgraded or replaced a few items it was needed though my original plan was to klarna a few things, glad i never now.

reminds of when i was at barston a few years back guy out with the mrs and kids had the whole catalogue with him, i set my gear up and his mrs started to list off what i didn't have with me like you shouldn't be angling without all the carp gear, cradles and that all set up ready to use, think he had been telling her a few porkies. lol.

  11. the one slight niggle with fred, and he only does it with me, face biting lol very gentle with it then again all terriers can be face biters Dave from the trust had a serious potential for it, i don't mind working with it so long as it's done like puppy play, little git.

I don't think he has bonded before with a human, he won't leave my side he was covered in sweets when i got him stuck in his fur. got him sitting and staying, goes to his bed when told and is starting to recall, all since saturday.

  12. Freddie as he now is called, has settled in needs a good shower wait till it warms up a bit, goes out for the toilet, can't see why he has been through two homes, he has a light grab when excited very soft though but his teeth are pin sharp i could see the last owner would be put off by that, he drew first blood on me last night playing with his tug ring his teeth went across my hand. he is chilled though got up today went out now back asleep.

going to need a vet has a bit off chaffing from living in a harness needs his vac doin,g take him over the woods soon once he has had a scrub.

Thanks CB , appreciate that but w hat is meant by better detail exactly ?

Anybody else in the know ?

you get to see where the weed would be only a light cover or jungle shows up little clear spots you might not find with an older model  can tell you how thick silt is or if it's a thin coat over a hard bit. that sort of thing once you get the hang of it.

I’ve been looking into these . Not that I’ll be getting one especially , I have much more essential stuff to get/upgrade/find the money for .

Its just that I’m having difficulty understanding the difference between the different versions , especially the two newest versions .
Im not very tech minded anyway but can anybody clear this up for me in layman’s terms ?

it seems to me that the newest one charges quicker and lasts longer but the difference apart from that isn’t apparent to me ?

I would have thought that to pay £300+ for one of these you may as well get a bait boat.

If you’re that way inclined of course .

the latest ones also give the best detail the sand coloured one works best from what i have been told it's not just the deeper nearly every lake including syndicates is mapped out on the deeper site, get the app and you can work wraps out water depth and shelf changes you can sign up with a debit card and cancel anytime, gives you satellite maps so you can see trees and bars.
