Fox EOS 10000FD or Wychwood Riot 45/55s?
Carpbell_ll replied to CarpingCraig's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
Morning i'm no reel expert but i think the 45 55 65 is the length of the spool in MM the 45 would do just about any water in the UK apart from boat fishing. both fox and wychwood are good reels same for okuma, you wouldn't go wrong with the 45s -
They do but only large amounts he rolls for a lot of companies when their orders back up, Andy is a very easy going guy and ships a lot of bait over to Europe at one time he would roll smallish amounts of a custom bait but there is nothing in it for him especially if it's a passing fancy one off. His own baits are top shelf three recipes a red fishmeal a gold fish meal and a nut. Ssssh awesome bait the best i have used in regards to a HNV bait the Cov Gold is just packed with krill and GLM with the Tuna fishmeal and robin gold plus a liquid attraction and as you are a pop up guy their pink midland special has put me a few biggies on the bank it is a fizzy pear with high leakage attraction works well in silt.

If i had the choice i would go with cork every time would love to send my Torques off to be corked with the cork in a abbreviated style. full handles of either does aid casting i find, gives more room for a more personalised hand placement and grip.

I was looking at the USA baitruuner call it the ocean or something seem to get more high end baitrunner features for less money than a carp baitrunner, think the difference in the above reels could be the lack of quick drag on the sea version?

Now go wash your mouth out Fox is carp angling lol strange how we have our preferred brands, i'm not a fan of RM I couldn't post the re branding i have for them here, it is harsh. No doubt they will have reels out soon.

If you do fancy something different there is two Nash Scopes built by Cotswold Customs on Nuneaton gumtree they want 200 for the pair? they look well used in the pics if i really wanted them i would offer 50 for each rod and go no higher.

perfect bags go just about anywhere.

I'd go with a helicopter set up as for rigs whatever to feel will reset itself the chod and it's many variants would be good but if you are aware of what the rig will be sitting on might want to go with something supple on a stiff boom. my fav rig in weedy silt areas is a reverse combi fishing a pop up they are just a pig to tie so...

Might want to have a little think on this baitboats are well over hyped so are fish finders yes they work but the don't add anything that your average angler hasn't already got, although if you must better to go with a known brand as they do have their problems, think the lake reaper is said to be a good un at fairish prices and they are made by a RC vehicle seller? Be warned though myself and a guy was talking last year and we are sure boats are putting the more wary fish on guard i fish smallish waters and i think guys really are pushing it with a boat on waters under 10 acres.

Like a lot of fishery owners bill is not willing to take the hit for covid, as it is a holiday place and not a club/syndicate i think bill is being a bit mean a lot of guys that have had winter on a few different syndicates are screwing, one was asking for a extension into the summer over on FB, Yeah that will happen. To be fair mate i doubt there is much you can do inside the law and bill knows that, best not going back and review the heck out of his business on any review sites especially google search page, i have been paid twice now to remove honest reviews from google, one from a vape shop the other from a tyre and exhaust centre.

Not sure about this one think it is genuine but it looks like the kind of advert i would come up with in Photoshop for trolling. My more adult themed adds are going down a storm over on FB's Terry Hearn troll group.

I'd love to join your fat club the only problem being i'm built like a greyhound, i can eat whatever i like whenever i like and i never put weight on not even a gram. i have had all sorts of tests done to see why i can't get fat the Dr seems to think i have some sort of auto immune illness such as Celiac disseise but not that lol.

Ridgemonkey advanced boilie crusher?
Carpbell_ll replied to elmoputney's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
They do but RM is at a disadvantage due to being seen as a camping and bankside entertainment company first and not so much as a angling company, whatever one of those is these days. RM sold a few popular items and then went straight down the pricey plastic route with their boxes and modular stuff, they could of done those at NGT prices or cheaper I guarantee selling that way would return a lot more sales in their big end high price stuff bivvys stoves and the like, depending on how much they have tied up in the bivvy range if they don't return the sales needed it could be a problem, what they need to think about is they are not the only company selling their style of torches and power packs, i will say the Trakka bivvy light looks better than RMs as it has a natural daylight orange colour light and power banks can be found at a much better price on Amazon. -

This and many more the same it's a 20 quid box at best even then it is way too awkward for a tackle box. -

I'd go with the food processor either that or one of the other bolie crushers out there, RM are getting a bit of stick for some of their stuff well over priced buckets and boxes which is a shame because their lights are on point, the big tackle box they do for 50 notes is a shocker by post sale reviews. -
Steady on dude fishing will always be there it is the same for all young families, angling can get in the way a bit. i'm sort of lucky with my lady and fishing as it was her that got me back into it after we first met i used to do a bit of fish spotting when walking along the canal together.

Barston is closed as they don't want people traveling not sure about lavender but I have no waggler tackle so not really worth it anyhow. other than that there is a few free river spots and the canal at Knowle or Coventry city centre. Was up my mates boat mooring the other week they are on the cov canal get loads of carp in the moorings would be well worth plotting up just outside and doing a few over-nighters, another guy that does a bit up there had a nice 16lb common out on waggler tackle.

Anything is a winner at this time of year, nice looking water. surprised you had a Tench on the water must stay a bit warmer than others? those trees would help.

To be honest it is hard to say this bivvy is over priced that material they use at 20.000 hh is as good as it will get due to weight issues with a higher HH,, the add ons' soon add up though inner domes and mozzie mesh come with a heavy carp tax as they are made to fit. Would really like one of these with all the add ons'. -

Money and time split from newest purchase
Carpbell_ll replied to Its-grim-up-north's topic in UK Carp Fishing
Money spent the right way equals fish on the bank my biggest spend for the last few years has been on a syndicate ticket I could put the same money to a spanking new bivvy or bait boat with all the extras and then scrape by on fishing day tickets the problem being I'm not able to regularly afford 3 day sessions even when I could it would be a 20 quid a night water at most, all the good day ticket waters are a lot more money than 20 a night. As for tackle i try to get the best quality lines and end tackle plus bait it's all up to me after that, syndicate fishing is very different to day ticket much more relaxed and friendly but the fishing is not easy, don't think any of the lakes has done a fish in months the biggie I had out of the little lake a few years back has only been out once or twice since getting on for three years since last caught, I was gutted I didn't get her out last autumn weights are said to be up and the colours would of been amazing. -
The ESP stuff is OK used to use their sink link, the coating on the tungsten is a bit tricky as in it is easily ruined should use a striping tool teeth and thumb nail isn't the best.

Still got a spool myself I will be having one rod on solid bags this spring so it will be coming out might use it on my combis as well

Very large winter suit 5xl
Carpbell_ll replied to Sparky1964's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
Jeez how big are you I've seen some large guys out in winter gear got to be something that fits try Army Andy he may be able to knock something up. What size waste we talking? I've never be over a 28 so I'm at the opposite end to you I can only just about find adult clothes that fit lol. -
I use waders myself more for finding spots and casting plus baiting up, never have i stopped to put them on when the rods go, although i did have a big mid thirty out a few years back that cost me a pricey e cig battery and coil i was getting in for that one. As for wrong doing we was more into off road bikes at that age before they had helicopters swear the police used to love chasing us around on their bikes.
