As GP sad because they can't ban the carp angler as a person sort of thing so they don't allow boilies which removes the sort of carp angler they don't want on the water most of them are day ticket pleasure venues can't blame them if that's the case. they are ok with paste and pellets though and any hook bait so that's an option the same as boilies if someone really wanted to visit a bolie ban venue.

Breakfast cereal in groundbait
Carpbell_ll replied to bluebirdjones's topic in UK Bait and Bait Making
I always bulk my ground baits and stick mix with porridge oats super cheap and soaks up plenty of flavour. -
Hate being poor lol, how would a Go Fund Me page go down to raise three grand by early April? Hippy shark tooth fossil hunt meet up at Ant Hill CA two weeks of digging around a old sea bed fossil hunting, the shark teeth are really nice from that area due to the amount of minerals in the stone

Nothing unusual for this time if year winter angling is always going to be more of a miss than a hit i should be out on the 29th only because i have an itch not expecting much i normally wouldn't bother overnight angling till at least mid April. just be fishing a single, a pva bag of pellets with a pellet hook bait and if the funds will stretch a zig really wish i could of got a better bivvy by now or at least a winter skin for my contact, bet those bivvys with the inner tent make a difference this time of year.

Drive past billing to get to the lake i fish some very good fishing on there just a shame it's not near the sea, used small caravans that are still road going are not bad priced a two birth would do us should be nice and easy to tow just the storage that could be a pig, do know a few places around bedworth that store and sell vans.

Guy i get my bait off says hook baits are good up until they get a vinegar smell to them and that takes a long time.
-
Lucky lady! my mrs would have none of that she wants me to get a cheap caravan stop on sites that have fishing, i could just imagine the response i'd get if i asked the guy who runs the lakes i fish if i could pop a caravan in the car park lol.

Took me years to get regular painkillers of the doc i get a strong synthetic opium mix but i can only take them for a few days here and there due to they also shut your digestion system down, also put me me on sertiline which is a prozac med not the sort of thing i would of went anywhere near a few years back but it seems i had a lack of whatever it helps build up in the brain. it's one of the symptoms of MS or one of the many other immune system illness lol, i gave up trying to get a precise diagnoses years back Meniere's disease is my call due to family history.

Takes me too long to digest properly and meat fats make me feel sick and sluggish eating too much leads to a slow down and as happened previously a complete stop in my digestion system leading on to inflammation and my nerve signal system going mental, i avoid most foods that are known to cause gastric problems but the red meat is more to the slow digestion.

There are a few other members with long-term medical problems be interesting to see how they get on in terms of what they are willing to suffer in order to get out fishing, most non anglers find it funny that you can go out on a tree day season and return home properly worn out and that's the same for all, unless you are a super fit runner or something.

For you id say very slowly and on pain killers which is a bit of a problem in itself due to pain killers not working like most people think they should it really is a trade off of how much you are willing to suffer in term of recovery time after. hot water bottles are a must. you may or may not of seen all the talk of cannabis being a awesome cure all wonder painkiller, nonsense, remember most of those claims come from the USA and they have a very limited access to GP health care so take it with a pinch of salt, as cannabis could psychologically worsen your problems if you over do it and suffer a mild panic attack. I only say that due to arthritis being one of the main medical reasons for cannabis use. Tackle wise a three wheel barrow maybe with a motor could be of a big help along with a bait boat. pegs you can drive to and make diet changes if you already haven't eat less meat I only eat red meat once or twice a week, rest of the time it is cheap frozen fish or vegetarian ready meals and lots of porridge with added tinned or frozen fruit. I have a auto immune illness of sorts I constantly have to monitor what I'm eating as it can cause my immune system to start doing weird stuff upper body sciatica pain being what I literally fear returning if I don't damn near live like a monk. I don't claim any sick pay or anything but i could as could you, you may be able to get help with transport costs, the only reason I don't is because it's a bit of a catch 22 for me as I might lose my licence if I was that ill I needed a car due to the possibility of suffering bouts of vertigo, so long as I don't allow my digestion system to slow down or stop I can get by alright.

Think a drill would be a bit too aggressive on a sticky boilie they are nice and soft a matching hook bait is the way to go or a very fine baiting needle if you wish to use the softer bait on the hook. i wouldn't use a swivel for a bottom bait anywho proper soft hair every time, but i might try a German rig this year so that will be a hard hook bait softer baits are better on combi type rigs. Fair play to you for giving the swivels a go i have seen grown men run from the swivel attach ready rigs in tackle shops lol.

Fox EOS 10000FD or Wychwood Riot 45/55s?
Carpbell_ll replied to CarpingCraig's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
Morning i'm no reel expert but i think the 45 55 65 is the length of the spool in MM the 45 would do just about any water in the UK apart from boat fishing. both fox and wychwood are good reels same for okuma, you wouldn't go wrong with the 45s -
They do but only large amounts he rolls for a lot of companies when their orders back up, Andy is a very easy going guy and ships a lot of bait over to Europe at one time he would roll smallish amounts of a custom bait but there is nothing in it for him especially if it's a passing fancy one off. His own baits are top shelf three recipes a red fishmeal a gold fish meal and a nut. Ssssh awesome bait the best i have used in regards to a HNV bait the Cov Gold is just packed with krill and GLM with the Tuna fishmeal and robin gold plus a liquid attraction and as you are a pop up guy their pink midland special has put me a few biggies on the bank it is a fizzy pear with high leakage attraction works well in silt.

If i had the choice i would go with cork every time would love to send my Torques off to be corked with the cork in a abbreviated style. full handles of either does aid casting i find, gives more room for a more personalised hand placement and grip.

I was looking at the USA baitruuner call it the ocean or something seem to get more high end baitrunner features for less money than a carp baitrunner, think the difference in the above reels could be the lack of quick drag on the sea version?
-
Now go wash your mouth out Fox is carp angling lol strange how we have our preferred brands, i'm not a fan of RM I couldn't post the re branding i have for them here, it is harsh. No doubt they will have reels out soon.

If you do fancy something different there is two Nash Scopes built by Cotswold Customs on Nuneaton gumtree they want 200 for the pair? they look well used in the pics if i really wanted them i would offer 50 for each rod and go no higher.

perfect bags go just about anywhere.

I'd go with a helicopter set up as for rigs whatever to feel will reset itself the chod and it's many variants would be good but if you are aware of what the rig will be sitting on might want to go with something supple on a stiff boom. my fav rig in weedy silt areas is a reverse combi fishing a pop up they are just a pig to tie so...

Might want to have a little think on this baitboats are well over hyped so are fish finders yes they work but the don't add anything that your average angler hasn't already got, although if you must better to go with a known brand as they do have their problems, think the lake reaper is said to be a good un at fairish prices and they are made by a RC vehicle seller? Be warned though myself and a guy was talking last year and we are sure boats are putting the more wary fish on guard i fish smallish waters and i think guys really are pushing it with a boat on waters under 10 acres.

Like a lot of fishery owners bill is not willing to take the hit for covid, as it is a holiday place and not a club/syndicate i think bill is being a bit mean a lot of guys that have had winter on a few different syndicates are screwing, one was asking for a extension into the summer over on FB, Yeah that will happen. To be fair mate i doubt there is much you can do inside the law and bill knows that, best not going back and review the heck out of his business on any review sites especially google search page, i have been paid twice now to remove honest reviews from google, one from a vape shop the other from a tyre and exhaust centre.

Not sure about this one think it is genuine but it looks like the kind of advert i would come up with in Photoshop for trolling. My more adult themed adds are going down a storm over on FB's Terry Hearn troll group.

I'd love to join your fat club the only problem being i'm built like a greyhound, i can eat whatever i like whenever i like and i never put weight on not even a gram. i have had all sorts of tests done to see why i can't get fat the Dr seems to think i have some sort of auto immune illness such as Celiac disseise but not that lol.

Ridgemonkey advanced boilie crusher?
Carpbell_ll replied to elmoputney's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
They do but RM is at a disadvantage due to being seen as a camping and bankside entertainment company first and not so much as a angling company, whatever one of those is these days. RM sold a few popular items and then went straight down the pricey plastic route with their boxes and modular stuff, they could of done those at NGT prices or cheaper I guarantee selling that way would return a lot more sales in their big end high price stuff bivvys stoves and the like, depending on how much they have tied up in the bivvy range if they don't return the sales needed it could be a problem, what they need to think about is they are not the only company selling their style of torches and power packs, i will say the Trakka bivvy light looks better than RMs as it has a natural daylight orange colour light and power banks can be found at a much better price on Amazon.
