  1. I don’t like to talk about it much 😁 I’m not too bothered about division 2 to be honest mate , I’ve seen 6 now in my time , not sure we’ll be back anytime soon though with the Porno perv I’m charge . heres hoping Panorama broadcast their investigation soon and it gets him out . Devastated about those cheating G-its Varsenal winning the title though . I did laugh the other day when the chief cheat Gabriel put that penalty over the top though .
  2. I’m sure this must be a new thing as I’ve never come across it before but why is Sweet Corn verboten ?
  3. There’s a hell of a lot to be said for staying single Nick 😉
  4. Morning Gents . I’m a moderator on a football fans forum and I’ve had exactly this problem . we have set in place a system where all new applicant members have to have their details ratified by a Mod and then have their application activated . The majority of new applications come from Eastern European spammers so their IP addresses give the game away straight away . Those that are not so obvious get sent a related question by email to answer . you’d be surprised how many Romanians think Bobby Charlton used to play for West Ham 🤣. It means I have spend an evening once a month cleaning up the Spammer new account applications but it’s better than spending your whole life deleting and banning , which is what was happening before . Genuine applications usually make themselves heard on the forum pretty much straight away and the obvious spammers can usually be spotted by their ridiculously Eastern European usernames .
  5. I think I’ve kinda grown DOWN over the years 🤣
  6. Well I like ‘em Nick 😀
  7. Ironically a few weeks after my last post on this thread I had a fall and broke my hip and femur . Was off work for 3 & 1/2 months and to this day I still walk with a pronounced limp . Having a metal rod running from my hip’s ball joint down to my knee (with my knee occasionally giving way) probably means I’ll always have it and I’m guessing that the days of me lugging around Bivvies , Carp rods and buckets of bait around are almost certainly gone now but I hope to still be able to take Tj on a few coarse trips when the weather warms up a bit . He certainly bangs on about it enough but it’ll be difficult as all my fishing gear is in storage but that’s another story .
  8. How did you get on matey ?
  9. Used to love fishing the Lea when I was a kid , both the proper river and the canal . Id jump on a bus to either Angel Road Edmonton or to Waltham Abbey & Broxbourne . Never managed to snare any whiskers though . Plenty of nice Chub and the usual suspects . Would walk for miles sometimes looking for likely spots though. The good old days for sure.
  10. That’s a lovely fish Kev . Hope you’re well.
  11. Thanks Nick . i keep meaning to pop in on a regular basis but i guess the fact that i have very little , if anything , to report on the fishing front has probably had a lot to do with that . i do miss the site and its regulars to be honest . Do Ian and Nigel , Phil etc still frequent the site ?
  12. Still around mate , just thought I’d pop in and say hello 👋
  13. Did somebody mention Pensioners ? 😉
  14. Bit late to the party with this but the simple answer is no . It’s never been stocked in my lifetime to my knowledge. Rumour had it years ago that a few Pike had been added illegally, probably having ‘disappeared’ from other local ponds of which there are/were plenty but I could never understand the logic as apart from the bird life what would they eat ?
