  1. Kia sedona cheap fishing van without the hassle of having a van on a domestic policey. Can get the barrow straight in fully loaded its pretty much a day van take all the seats out and you could put two carp beds in, sounds like a summer plan.
  2. Gulp, just had to get a new motor pure out the blue had 400 to my name found a sedona all the right paperwork 1600, solid old school mate lent me a grand lol now that's what I call a friend. The motor is a MPV but when you take the rear seats out it if pretty much a carpet day van. We both like it.
  3. A kilo of dry mix is 10 quid 70 for five kilo plus his flavours are twice the price of other brands but they are very clean and natural smelling. You can get some real good base mixes for around 6 quid a kilo.
  4. Yea that milk and honey is real easy to roll I use his flavours but the base mixes are a bit pricey to buy in serious amounts, they do make a real good paste I bag of mix lasts ages if you just use it for paste. The results with the TM1 flavour were real good I think he must grind the birdfeed some, more as the mixes are very fine.
  5. I find the more kit a person brings the more frustration they get when things don't work out I got a heck of a lot of real nice thirties in the album and I do put a lot of effort into that, some of my park lake fish are real stunners share a few with Mr all the gear and you get a load of snide remarks, don't fish long range, being too chilled in my approach, always getting to the favourite peg? Hay if it's empty... lol. Always found that one a bit strange your moaning about someone being super aware of anglers arrival and leaving times to get a decent peg.
  6. You still have to go out your way for a cat near me one water is now classed as a garden pond by the EA due to the sturgeon in it, the EA hit it regularly for licence checks as the rumor went round you no longer needed a rod licence they hade a few big fines out of it last year.
  7. Of course I kept it classy ang got a john baker hoody.
  8. Mate still reading the tread but I couldn't agree more, personally I find the pettiness funny and will wide people up. It's a hobby for me if I ever felt serious about angling I wouldn't do it, when you are not in tune with the Korda/Nash mindset you will be looked upon as a new comer to angling that is a danger to the stock, I had to buy some green fishing brand clothing on one water just to look the part, I would of thought working my way through the stars of the lake and putting them back unharmed with minimal tackle and a very casual approach would be fine.
  9. Just thinking about my annual visit to a runs water before settling in on the club lakes for the year, might try blue bells but got that snow ready to roll in this week see how things are for St paddies day weekend my birthday was nearly on the 17th missed it by a few hours, always been a good night out.
  10. Parker baits look alright that fruit and nut looks similar to what I have been making mines more of a yeasty meat and nut with the plum flavour and talin, which really does make a difference to the overall fruitiness. I'd be happy to buy from any bait company that has put that amount of investment in the plant be a better bait than tackleshop sold brands.
  11. Soz for the blurt but was horrible poor woman had a proper breakdown on a bridle way, all her medicines and belongings scattered everywhere thought she had been beat up, had to call the police and wait got the whole life story.
  12. Never seen them before. In other news just found a very ill woman contemplating suicide when out with the dog proper state lucky I'm used to bi polar people posh woman late 50s had to talk her into going back to her car called the police and they came out, she's lucky not the sort of area you would want to be in that state.
  13. It is not needed these days a light meal is better for you before surgery obv you would get people packing down a Mc breakfast on route which would be a problem so they still go by the old rules can see why they have low blood pressure after the op though.

    Dogs and fishing

Just saying hello. I'm a big fan of breed specific activities took fredders along a abandoned rail line let him have at a few old rabbit holes nothing in them full of wind blown leaves plus he wouldn't fit down he just likes to widen th entrance and a general tidy up some wildlife numpty will think badgers have moved in lol.
  15. We did OK to be fair it is a slight problem having to faste the evening before for the morning slot only to still be waiting till late afternoon. It can cause problems with the full anaesthetic.
  16. Wow that was a grind 15 hours at the hospital fair play thay did the op but what a game of poltics i swear they are fitting NHS patients in between private jobs they got her in at 7am we were thinking it would be a morning op, 3.30 they took her in, the woman before was having a larger operation so they get another one in at the same time incase they can't go ahead with the first operation for whatever reason. Done now and just the radiotherapy to start.
  17. Been thinking of getting one myself suit the waters I fish. Company called https://www.allthings3d.co.uk/product-page/allthings3d-baiting-pole-configurator do a few options seen them in use so I know they are OK.

Fred off lead as always ignore the title that's for the you tube thingy. https://youtu.be/n6mAGcBimu8
  20. Left this lot out for a few extra days before freezing, just got that white crystal look to them. Was going to get out this weekend but there's a work party on at the lakes give them a test run next week she has her op next wensday then it's daily visits for radio therapy should be able to fit a window between the two for getting out.
  21. Sounds painful, reminds me of my BB days I still march to this day thanks to them, handy for walking the dog. Funny as, guarantee anyone that walks any distance with me will be calling for me to slow down.
  22. Think I might be on to something a bit special the Mrs reckons she can taste banna all morning her taste buds are all over the place the dog has been in a feeding frenzy for the past few days. It's the yeasts reacting to the talin amazing subtle aroma.
  23. Not surprised, they don't like the fish getting caught too easy on modern lakes anything that works well gets a ban eventually. My dread is only having well managed lakes to fish telling you how and where to fish, no point in going.
  24. ,me and PVA have fell out had fast melt bags still on the lead come reel in and a foam nugget that spent all night on the hook. Stick mix only for me or whole baits in PVA netting.
  25. One of the reasons I want a packed out bird food bait a fair few whole seeds in it, will be putting a fair amount of conditioner and hemp out. One of the most consistent anglers I have seen is Ralph from whelly boilie only no pop ups 5 kilo of homemade bait every session he did give me a few to have a look at then laughed as I wouldn't be able to copy it, very light milk bait with fenugreek smells coming off it is what it looked like.
