Received the two floating feeders from flea bay today…the floating pellet's are Sticky baits in 11mm and 6mm that’s what I can get inside the bigger feeder still allowing to plug it with ground bait

I wanted the sticks with a screw point my local didn’t have any. The reel is a Garbolino, 5000 size comes with a spare spool is smooth and has a nice line lay. Got that from my local I had 6 reels on the counter giving them all a spin this felt the best they check and match the best price on the interwebb And the tempest gear came from the local.

The sonu bait is east to mix I add the plain crumb to bulk it out 👍

Been helping out my local tackle shop with their bank balance, because I’m nice 😇 Trakker tempest skull cap and groundsheet with Advanta storm poles Bait and a reel to replace an old Nash Dwarf BP 6 which has sadly bit the dust.

Had a afternoon session on a general fishery with my mate, he picked me up from work and sort of kidnapped me 😇 I used his gear fishing off the top with floaters but they wasn’t interested one bit ..orrr so I thought 🤔 I found a floating feeder in his bag and mixed up some ground bait on the dry ish side, a small pebble inserted to give it a bit more weight and plugged off with the ground bait with a 12” hook length … and had 5 carp on the trot 😳 Heres a pic of his feeder or his mrs feeder …looks like he got it from a Ann Summers catalogue Korum got a small floating feeder I might give it a go when I’m at linear at the end of the month

I got one of the above but it’s got the Nash name. It helps by back no end and is so light weight, If I want to sit outside the bivvy I lay it on the unhooking mat 👍

I could never get on with drinking I tried but it didn’t agree with me, I’m had a hangover with a pint of shandy 🙄 … but in the last 10 years I discovered Rum 🥃 Don’t get a hangover must be the cola I have with it and the two paracetamol I take before bed 😂

How bad is the rod ? I snapped the top 2 ft of a beach caster turned it into a uptide rod that was when it wasn’t a thing The looks I had off the club mates and even a skipper on a charter boat 🙄 Can you get a spare part for the reel ?

Iv been working crazy lately last break was in early May the money is good but there’s always a price to pay and Iv not renewed my ticket. Got used to working 7 days a week and it’s become the norm should get back to normal hours at the end of the month Another reason for not renewing and the main reason is I haven’t been fishing with my buddy as he didn’t join the syndicate I plan to change that … so Iv booked us a couple of swims at Linear on B1 for a 48hr he don’t know yet, he’s had the all clear after having his pacemaker fitted and like I said to him we got to get him a 30 before his battery runs out.

I had a chat to my mate last night to see if he’s up for a day there, he’s got his pacemaker installed been a month so he’s got the all clear to go. Easy parking and a short walk so his mrs is happy. Where do you hail from mr mud ?

I fish at a farm about 3 times a year mainly in the winter months, from what I found out it used to be popular with the match guys but they can be a fickle lot 😉 and have moved on to other waters the last match must have been 5 years ago. . Theirs two waters one about 1 1/2 acres and the other a canal style which has the usual course fish but what I’m interested most is the Barbel which my mate and I have had to 8lbs they average 4-5 lb their in great condition scrap like mad and feed well in the colder weather but haven’t a clue how old they must be. The farmers wife who must be in her 80’s comes around about mid day no matter what the weather to do rig checks 😳 (with her dog who must be half her age) and give her advice. Banks and grass are well managed and with no litter, we only fished there mid week and it’s never busy with 6 anglers at most.

What is your budget ?

Try running around Linear fisheries in padded salopettes, jacket wellies and carrying two buckets to hopefully find two decent swims 😏…but joking aside fair play to you for keeping fit 👍
