When it was northwest angling centre it was a really good shop I shopped in there for years, very knowledgeable staff what ever type of fishing you were into. And they were very friendly you could just go for a wonder around and a chat.When it got took over by angling direct I went in once and it was just like being in a supermarket and the staff were just there to sell you stuff and nothing else, I was asking about alarms and they where trying to push me the more expensive ones when they found out I was on a lower budget they just didn't seem interested. Never been back since. I'll stick to my local couple of small shops near to where I live and what I can't get there I'll buy online. 👍

I've been converted to the multi rig. When I started carp fishing a couple of years ago I only used hair rigs but having watched quite a few vids on YouTube and read a few threads on here I tied a few up and used I've been using them since. My main method has been bottom baits and I've caught quite a few fish on it with really good hook holds and up to now no hook pulls so far. I have loads of confidence in this rig and my bait and I think that makes a big difference in my fishing. If I ever come to using pop ups I will not hesitate in using a multi rig and a big plus is there so easy to tie.😁👍

Why go fishing to get drunk and high. If that's what you want to do just do in a safer environment. Save the fishing for when you actually want to fish. It is sad and tragic for his family and friends but if you spend the night by the water drunk and high your asking for trouble.

I got a lo pro for Christmas just gone, I've not been using it I was still using my 20 year old nash oval and I got soaked to the skin on Monday, so today I took my lo pro and absolutely love it, plenty big enough for my needs excellent bit of kit. 😊👍

I use size 6 for most of my fishing going up to a 4 if using a snowman rig.👍

Fair point but if I was taking myself and three kids fishing for the day 24 quid plus bait It isn't that cheap, but if it was 2 quid per child it does make difference to a lot of people. 👍 Or free like Highy said even more differance. 👍

I agree it is very cheap for an adult but in this part of the UK kids are usually free or a couple of quid, that was my point. 👍

No won't be going there myself it's not my kind of fishing but I do know that there are more than 1or 2 20tys in there I've seen them for myself. 👍👍

There are some bigger carp in there 20lb plus I haven't seen them caught but they are definitely in there, I went for walk around there last year when they were spawning and they are definitely in there. 👍👍

I'm off work for 3 days myself that same week so I'm going to be on Fanlodge for 2 full day sessions, I'll be doing first light till 4ish myself. 👍👍 I'll be on Tuesday and Wednesday. 👍

I presume there are a lot of fish on top today mate. Have you tried zigs mate, might be worth a try at different depths. 👍 👍 I know there is no surface fishing allowed but if you can get that zig just under the surface you might pinch one or two. 👍👍
