Well I collected the ticket for my new club at the weekend so just need to attach a passport photo and i'll be good to go, I'm going to try and have a walk around one of the lakes on Saturday and fish it on Monday. 🙂👍

Well my plans have changed, I'm joining a different club this year one I was in many years ago, but I mainly fished for pike then. This club has some nice waters, not massive carp but up to mid twenties and some good mixed fisheries as well. I just fancied somewhere different, new challenges and all that, it will be nice to fish where different.

I'm with you on this one dayvid I really like my Daiwa QD'S, I don't use the clutch for the fight I usually back wind, It's for the tension on that initial run i like the QD. But we are all different.🙂👍

I use a run ring on my set up and it works really well. 🙂👍

Has anybody got or no anybody that's got a tf gear banshee extreme bivvy and if so what do you think about them as in build quality and quality of parts and material?

I went for the 20lb do you think this will be ok or shall I order some 25lb?🙂👍

They are 1.35 metres high I think that will be tall enough for me, but I will check out the cyprinus also, cheers elmo.🙂👍

It's actually the quest compact mk4. It's a 2019 model and it sounds a real bargain at £114. It also has really good reviews. 🙂👍

Excuse my ignorance but what knots do you use when tying a chod rig and is this material easy too knot?🙂👍

I've never tied chod rigs before and one of the waters I'm going to be fishing this year requires them so is this any good for the job or can anybody else recommend something else that they use.

I use a 3lb tc g50 as my marker rod and it works fine, I can feel everything though the rod no problems, I have loaded my real with braid straight through no leader and a 3oz lead it work for me, so I think you should be fine with a 2.75lb tc.🎣🙂👍

I know what you mean about the smooth hound they are amazing fish they fight like no fresh water fish, my pb is 10lb and I still think about now, my best mates is 16lb and I've never seen a fight like it before or since, for there weight the are unreal. Unfortunately I don't go sea fishing anymore, enjoy it mate I used to love my sea fishing but it got a bit to much with the travelling for me.🎣🙂👍

I will be getting a ticket for my local club the same club as highy and maybe the night ticket, I keep saying I'm going to start doing some over nighters but never got around to it this year but I think the club water I'm fishing at the moment is perfect for me to do some over nighters and at £70 for the year I think it's a bargain. I'm also going to try and fish some of the other waters on the ticket, not carp but it will be nice too fish for some other species as well. 🎣🙂👍

I have the diawa g50 but in the 3lb tc, it is a excellent rod for the money, good casting, good fish playing and they look really good. I wouldn't hesitate in buying the same rods again but for the casting weight that you want I would definitely go up on the tc.🙂👍
