  1. And tench I forgot about those. πŸ‘ 😁
  2. Well I was supposed to be taking my 14 year old daughter coarse fishing today. So I sorted all the gear out, tip rod for her, float rod for me, I went and bought all the bait yesterday, just some father and daughter chill out time. Anyway last night she says too me do you mind if I go out with my mates instead of fishing, well I couldn't say no could I. πŸ˜€ So it was a chill out day for me doing a bit of float fishing on my local pond, I couldn't waste the bait. πŸ˜€. I had a good day lost count of the fish roach perch gudgeon bream rudd and crusian carp. This perch had eyes bigger than his belly.
  3. Has anyone got the ngt hook sharpening vice, any good or give it a miss. πŸ‘
  4. This one as solid and massive it was the same size as the tube. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  5. I was using my throwing stick yesterday, I was really struggling to get 10yrd, then realised the boilie's weren't dropping down the tube properly, I was throwing boilie's that had been glugged and I thought some had stuck inside, so I tried washing out with some water, no better. So I gave it a good few bangs on the ground and the biggest slug I ever seen in my life fell out of the end. 😁😁😁
  6. I can't help you with the carp but if you're dropshoting in a trout rezy there's bound to be some good perch in there. Good luck mate πŸ‘
  7. Have you got a link elmoputney? πŸ‘
  8. I think the main change to this barrow should definitely be a larger wheel, I was thinking a 14" wheel would make it a lot easier pushing and give you that extra ground clearance. πŸ‘
  9. I've had mine for around 12 months now with no issues, OK the build quality is not the best but at the end of the day it is a budget barrow and it does the job. Maybe if I'd had a more expensive one in the past I would feel differently about it but I haven't had anything to compare it to. All I know is it makes my fishing a lot easier. πŸ‘
  10. It would have to be a black one for me mate, there's hundreds on the bay πŸ‘
  11. I carried my gear for years and then when I got into carping a couple of years ago it was impossible to carry, far too much gear to carry. So I bought the cheap barrow and it was one of my best buys ever for me. I don't have anything to compare it to but for me personally it's spot on. πŸ‘
  12. I've actually got this barrow I wanted a cheap budget barrow, I use it all the time for day sessions only, it is quite small but for the money I actually think it's a bargain. I find it plenty big enough for my needs, I think it would do me for longer sessions but I don't have a massive amount of gear compared to other angler's. The only thing I would change is the size of the wheel, I keep saying to myself I'm going to put a larger wheel on but I've not got around to it yet. πŸ‘
  13. Good luck with the match tomorrow mate. πŸ‘ What time do you kick off. πŸ˜€
  14. It would be the temptation of maybe catching a 20 for me mate. πŸ‘ But everyone is different that's the beauty of fishing. πŸ˜€ What ever you decide on enjoy mate. πŸ‘
  15. You saved your mates life so I think you deserve all the praise you've been getting and all well deserved. If you'd not been there it could of been a different story. Well done nick. I hope you're mate is well on the way to recovery and you'll both be out fishing together very soon.
  16. It's also the most visible to see. If you can see were I'm coming from. πŸ‘ I am quite drunk at the moment so if I'm not making sense ignore me. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  17. I use yellow myself on my marker rod.πŸ˜€
  18. I did get some of the cheaper braid but for the life of me I can’t remember which one. i’m still on my hols in Cyprus for another week so when I get home I will check which one I bought because it’s good stuff stuff.
  19. And he's a mate. 😠 I'd choose my mates more carefully in the future. πŸ‘
  20. Gut wrenching mate, I hope you get on some fish and catch plenty after all your planning. πŸ‘
  21. Well if I'm ever in the market for a body bag I will definitely bear this one in mind. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.
  22. Here's a list of the Wigan ticket water's and some info on the night fishing. πŸ‘
  23. I won't get chance to put the other waters on here tonight. My permit is in my gear in the loft and to tell you the truth I really can't be bothered going up there tonight. I will try and sort that for you as soon as I can mate πŸ‘
  24. There are only two you can night fish which are fan and heapey no1. There are others with carp but they are harder fishing there's heapey no2 and no3 and also Birkacre country park big lake in coppull but there are only about 10 carp in there, I do fish it for tench my best tench from there is 7lb they do go bigger but I'm not sure how big. They do have a few more lakes in the Wigan area but I'm not sure if there's carp in them, I'll have a look at my ticket later and let you know. I know you used to match fish but do you bother fishing for any other speices now? πŸ‘
  25. Fan lodge is on the Wigan AA ticket Β£35 a year plus Β£70 if you want a night permit. πŸ‘
