How much and were from mate? 😁👍🎣

Hopefully I'm fishing Monday but my club are still not allowing nights on there waters, so it's a day session only for me but I will make it a long one. I'm going to take my surface gear and have a go for them off the top, I've not caught one of the top for years. Should be fun and make a change. 🙂👍🎣

Quick update reel is sorted it was the washers, all greased up now as good as new again. 😁👍🎣

I which that could be said for me but in my part of the country you're lucky to catch 20's never mind 40's. 🤣😂

It's only one out of three spools and it's the one I had soaking in water. Do you think with me having submerged in water that could of caused the problem? it was ok before I put it in the water. 🙂👍

You were right framey once I worked out which washers you were talking about I'm not really that clued up on reels. The washers were a bit dry so i've ordered some washer grease off the bay this morning, Thanks very much for your help framey. 🙂👍

Yes mate no problems with that. I think framey might be right I think it's the washers in the spool cap. I think because I left the spool soaking in water I might of done something to the washers, I'm going to strip the spool tomorrow and check them. I've tried my spare spool again and it isn't as bad. I'm also going to have a look at my other reel to compare them. 🙂👍

I've actually tried a couple of spare spools that I have and they are the same. Do you mean the washers on the shaft? They do seem to be pretty well greased up already, the reels aren't that old, they are out of warranty though. Thanks for your reply. 🙂👍

I was wondering if one of you knowledgeable lads can help me out. I've got a problem with one of my Daiwa crosscast 5000 qda reels. I reversed the line on the spools today instead of changing it all, I soaked the spools in water for 20 minutes and then just wound the line onto the spare spool. The first one was fine, when I did the second one exactly the same procedure I come to put the spool back on the reel and the qd isn't working properly, it does loosen but it isn't free running as it should be 😥. Anybody got any ideas to what it could be? Thanks Keith. 🙂👍

Esp barrel bobbins, excellent bobbins, 2 length of chains, 2 different types of line clips and adjustable weights. I've been using these for around three years now, as i said these are excellent bobbins imo. 🙂👍 Just released you wanted hangers not bobbins. 🤪

This is also my choice of line for my carp fishing in 15lb. I used diawa sensor brown 15lb for years and then I read about the pro on here some were and thought I'd give it a try and imo I think it's excellent line, it covers everything i need in my fishing.🙂👍

I'm afraid not mate but i will next time I use it, when ever that's going to be. I will say one thing though i was surprised how much room there was more than I'd imagined. 🙂👍

I don't actually measure the size of the loop I make just big enough to fit over the hook, it's just trial and era with me because if I use the rig for a pop up I like it pop up as short as I can get it. I hope this helps you Crusian.🙂👍

The answer to your question is yes 20's if I'm lucky but usually doubles. I find these rigs so easy to tie, the hardest part for me is getting the loop for the hook the right size apart from that there a doddle. 🙂👍

And forgot to mention there always hooked bang in the middle of the bottom lip. 🙂👍
