  1. buy them all in 10ft and you can cut them down. That way you will never run out of a certain size.
  2. why is the bloke holding the fish a different bloke to the one on your thumbnail?
  3. Hi guys, Does anyone have any info on this fishery? Supposed to have big cats and carp to 30 plus. I was thinking of heading over this weekend just to try something new! Phil
  4. Hi All, I was a little peeved to find out that my planned venue for next year is going to ban night fishing next season so I'm looking for a new target water.... I understand Barnwell Country Park is steeped in carp fishing history with the Barnwell Mirror topping 46lb before it's unfortunate demise in 2005-6(?). Does anyone have any up to date information on this fishery and the fish stocks that are still there? The season ticket is 90 quid and I understand it is limited to 30 members that can fish nights. Phil
  5. Hi All, I was hoping to get some advice / information about this set of lakes.... Membership is fairly cheap - around £150 per year, and a friend of mine is a member but he has been 5 or 6 times and blanked so foar. I fished it with him one night and between three of us we didn't have a sniff. Does anyone know what sort of stock levels are in there? Any advice appreciated! Phil
  6. Thanks for the advice fellas. Coops, I live in Rothwell, but my journey to work takes me through Thrapston and Oundle to Peterborough. I was planning to pre-bait a couple of swims on my way home from work. Phil
  7. Hi All, this is my first use of the forum - I joined a couple of weeks back. I was hoping for some advice on good swims on the river Nene between Thrapston and Peterborough. I drive past this stretch of the river on my way to and from work every day so was hoping to pre-bait a couple of swims over the close season and get stuck in in June. Any advice on location and/ or tactics on this river would be appreciated. I've always been a stillwater carper but have become quite enamoured with the idea of catching some decent river carp next season! Phil
