  1. From eBay, can't do a link on the tablet, but plenty of them on the bay from the UK for around£6 .... Mine took a while to arrive but I only paid£1.99 😋
  2. I got myself a little adapter for my t4 so I can use the cheap canisters from places like b&m £4 for four.....
  3. Finally managed to get round to visiting this place today, quite impressive with the amount of tackle that's on display, at least 6 bivvies setup on the top floor with the accessories all around them, the only thing I did notice was there wasn't a lot of rods on display proberly 8 or9 at most, plenty to tempt you to spend your hard earned on . I'm £60 lighter now lol 😋
  4. Surely your lake would be better banning cheap lines rather than the diameter of the line it's self , and also how do they know how old the line is ? To be honest BC's rules with common sense as a rule , makes more sense to me .....
  5. Think you need to take a step back and think about just how your going to use it , if you're going to be using for mainly days then your going to be sitting up in a decent chair and going to need some head room, sitting on a bed chair is not that comfortable . Think that a brolly type would be to low for you to sit under , the ribs inside even with the smaller bosses still take up a fair bit of headroom, where most of the bivvie systems have the frame work on the outside..
  6. Its not that bad BC I havent finished my copy yet , but I must say so far its got me thinking a little about my fishing .... for under £6 you cant go wrong really , the cover price was £19.95
  7. Skee Tex used to have a factory shop that was cheeper than the tackle shops, I had a pair of the original boots years ago and at the time they were the best on the market, the liners can be removed and replaced with new ones, also it's handy for drying them out should you get a boot full of water ..if I remember correctly they were designed for going to the artic or somewhere......
  8. Nice one, worth splashing out the extra £1.03.....
  9. It's still on the dials but one has lost the paint on the mrx wording..
  10. Hi Danny, I can't help with much in the way of if they are digital or not, but I had a change of alarms last year, and found out that researching fox microns a bit of a nightmare there doesn't seem to be a lot of information around, but in the end I went for the mrx , I'll start with the down side first, the LEDs are to bright at night they're blinding, I have painted mine with black nail varnish, that's the only downside I can find, they are easy to use and can be set up just how I wanted, I have the volume turned off on the heads and just on the receiver, they have tone adjustment that the receiver picks up so high on one rod and low tone on the other is possible, also there is a light on the receiver for each rod and there can be up to four, on the head there is a very easy to use and see switch for on and off, it's got two sensitivity settings but I can't quite work out just what the difference between the two is . Hope this helps out a bit .
  11. 18 years ago I had my last Fag , never actually gave it up just never got round to having the next one......
  12. There are a pair of 2.75,12" up on eBay at the moment they are at £62 ....
  13. Nothing on this forum mate , but stick it on the bay and see what happens ..
  14. something to look forward to matey , with all this cold and wet weather its good to think about the nice warm days of summer .....
  15. ok so I had little play today , the only bowl I could find was a plastic one and the photos aren't that clear , but the tungsten hook links both float at the looped over end ? i cut a short length about 3" and it sinks but for some reason the looped ends float , its a bit hard to see but the orange popup is on a kryston merlin rig , the almost white pop up is on a esp tungsten rig , then a brown popup is on the kryston mantis and then there is a bottom bait also on esp , both the esp rigs are floating at the loop end and the kryston merlin has sunk and the mantis is just off the bottom to..
  16. No not yet, I did wonder if it would react differently in water, if I get chance I'll stick it in a bowl over the weekend.....
  17. my spool of tungsten loaded arrived yesterday , first impressions are that its not as supple as i had expected , I know its a coated braid but I would still say this was as semi stiff rather than a soft , but then I am no expert , to me its still quite stiff and doesn't want to lay flat , now on the packet it says ' the inherent suppleness of the soft tungsten loaded will help the rig to settle perfectly over undulations , light weed ect whilst still pushing the bait away from the lead' to me that would mean it would fall flat on what ever surface its laying on, but it wont lay flat on my desk , a tungsten loaded braid in soft should at least lay flat under its own weight ? but having said all that the coating is very smooth and can be stripped off with a fingernail and the braid underneath is quite supple , I have tied up a couple of rigs one standard knotless knot rig and a multi rig , Im quite happy with how the coating holds up to tying the knots and its stretched a little but not broken through on any, to be honest I'm quite happy using this for both rigs , I think it will still need a bit of putty to help hold it down on the lake bed .... dave
  18. Yes went for the soft as I'm happy with the mantis for my stiffer rig requirements with multi rigs as there is no need to steam it straight. The soft is for just standard knotless knot rigs .
  19. lol, trust me not to read the small print ......£8.95 off the bay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ESP-NEW-Tungsten-Loaded-Braid-Hooklink-Soft-Or-Semi-Stiff-All-Colours-Available/272072895602?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=570883468712&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 dave
  20. Cheers yonny, I have a reel of esp on order should be here I a day or two .
  21. Cheers nick , the older Merlin looks to be more of a green colour where the newer stuff that I have is a white and green and very bright in comparison to your photos, I did wonder if it was supposed to take on the colour of the lake bed being called Merlin, to be honest there is nothing else I don't like about it and have caught fish on it but it's just that I can see it quite clear laying on the lake bed in the margins. I'm going to order some of the ESP tungsten soft , it's cheaper than the fox as well 😃
  22. thanks chilli , thats made my mind up to have a look at the esp rainge , cheers
