    New purchases

Waiting on 3 purchases woohoo! Aqua Black front barrow bag - replacing my old Carp Porter front food bag, not totally sure on this one coz not a food bag as such, but should do the job. 🀞 Power barrow wheel bag, existing is too small. Cotswold Wader bag - ready for Fortis Waders, out end of March apparently - like the look of this bag - like a bucket with lid so you can set waders up ready and keep in the bag/bucket with lid on to keep them dry and ready next to the rods, no more faffing about when the rain starts or forgetting and having wet waders 😎

  2. Give me a straight stick and I can compete with anyone at most distances give me a curved stick and I can’t get a single bait in front of me lol.

    New purchases

Just brought 2kg of Robin red direct from Haiths, 100 10mm cork balls, some belachan flavour and maple flavour time to start knocking up the pop ups and bait for the next few months πŸ‘πŸ»

  5. Oh I'm good with a stick now, became my go to at the end on Welly, matching pop-ups over a light spread with the stick, surprising how accurate you get. At first they were falling behind me, too embarrassing! I think with the spoon the flexible handle has to be the one to add distance πŸ‘

  6. I've used one for heavy baiting an area about 6 wraps, with pigeon conditioner it kind of went all around the zone but that was alright for thinning the weed. I'm OK with a throwing stick but you need to get into a rhythm, I found using a korda bum bag helped because it saves you having to stop to pick up more bait.

  7. I've tried this with a landing net pole and my big Fox scoop thing, hopeless - couldn't get any distance, but then I gave up on the throwing stick after the first session - took years before I tried again and got it sorted lol Good luck Elmo - a made for the job one has to be the way to go. πŸ‘

    Rod Shots

Not gonna catch them at home lol, done a lap of the lake and haven't seen anything so jumped in the swim I know the layout of, I'm fishing into an open spot of 6ft -7ft of water, a little bit of silt with weed surrounding itπŸ‘ I'm getting a nice donk with the leads so baits should be presented nicely πŸ‘

I thought you’ll be to young to remember Bjorn Borg πŸ˜³β€¦and funny enough you mentioning a racket maybe get one to go with the fox pole, could get messy with hemp tho πŸ˜‚

  12. I bought one, I went for the 8ft fox one it's 2 piece and longer which means it should give me a little more distance by being the most flexible and be easier to transport.

    Hand of god baiting pole

Not too far, but far enough lol it's probably only good for up to 40 yards or so I should think with bigger sized particles, maybe more with boilies but I'm hoping to keep it fairly close for ease tbh.

    Today's thought.

Don't know who's making these pictures that pop up on FB but I find them hilarious πŸ˜‚ simple things and that. The write up for the bonny blue one good, she is opening a venue in Northampton 🀜

    Weed

I would probably let go of the rod end and have to hand line it all back in πŸ˜‚ Maybe we can have a practice at the social 😱

And when the wind changes strength as you start the cast... I know about seeing a marker float can be difficult, I found fluorescent orange stands out to me, where I lose yellow or black tops even in shiny pale water reflection. Would a white marker float work for you?

    Defeated and birds

Feeling a bit defeated this morning, no fish and got absolutely done by bird life yesterday, had swans, coots and ducks smashing my spot, they kept picking up my rigs and dropping them off the spot, pulling pop offs etc. Probably redone each rod about 10 times yesterday I couldn't keep one in the water 🀣 Packed up this morning and drove round to the other lake, just having a look now, the spot I normally fish is free, i could jump in there but I really cba 🀣🀣🀣
