A few weeks ago I made a few enquiries to some local syndicate lakes , thinking you’ve got to be in it to win it . Silence … not a sausage . Then out of the blue got an email and a phone call . Im meeting the fella early tomorrow morning and he’s taking me for a walk round the lake & facilities . 🤞🏻for me fellas , I gotta get out of this day ticket circus .

2 nights 2 lakes due to spawning closures - no fish caught but a major carp home found - can't wait to get back and explore some more.

That’s convinced me that they’ll replace it Sonik can do without any bad press and if it was me I’d be coating ‘em all over the internet. just don’t use total fishing tackle 😊

I worked for Parcelforce (and before that RM Parcels) for 15 years . things must have improved 🤣

More carp dog practice for Max - he is easier to handle at fishing than he is at home tbh - so far so good, this week I tried both dogs off lead whilst I barrowed to the swim - any fears he would run off were soon gone as he followed me close behind all the way - impressed! George wandered off as usual - not far but got told off several times, think he is trying to escape Max the poor old boy - not used to sharing.

Well the exclusive lake we had booked at woolpack ,has started spawning 🙈. As we were here, we ended up on one of the syndicate lakes instead of a refund, so only just got the rods out & sorted. 🤞

I went a couple of tmes about 5 years ago. We had the last Lodge on the middle lake. Really nice and peaceful. It's s lovely place. I didn't have much luck on the top lake, but once I found the fish on the middle lake, I had fairly regular catches. If I remember, they said no alarms, but if you ask nicely and have them so they don't disturb anyone else they seemed to be OK about that. There's a nice little swimming pool for the rest of the family too. Our first visit, we found a hornets nest in the loft of our lodge (they were using a vent). Told the owners and they had it sorted the following morning. Don't leave your outside door light on otherwise you will find hornets or similar hanging around. It is in the country so bugs are to be expected. We didn't get stung at all though.

The social - job one complete - cookhouse/sitting room - you'd have thought we were in France for a week not up the road for 3 nights 🤣
