    Deeper unfished lake

Spend more time looking than fishing until you have an idea of how the carp behave and then start fishing

  3. Aloe vera would be worth a look got to get the right one which is pricey, but as it is going in a lake i wouldn't of thought the dilution rate in the bottle would matter much, same for worm castings you will find big bags of castings for sale at garden centres, the vera hangs and clouds in the water better than any food liquid. combining the two might be something new?

  5. Check the mesh, away from the ends it should be OK. I've had the same problem with tubing, done exactly what you did😳 Getting hold of the GP204's is impossible, I don't think that they are still available, but the Muggas are and still good. If you need a straight shank, I have been using Solar 101's, another hook sharp out of the packet. I won't get into the sharpen or not debate, I don't, and use hooks straight from the pack. Ronnie Rig, https://gardnertackle.co.uk/gardner-fishing-videos/secret-ronnie-rig/ I think they sell Ronnie Rig hooks to the clip, just tie on your hooklink

I messed about this morning trying to tie a couple of knot less knot rigs and it all came flooding back to me , I was having trouble with the line aligned though , I thought for a minute my arthritis was worse than I anticipated till I realised I was using short lengths of Tungsten tubing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

This. maggi liquid seasoning is good too. if you want a nutty liquid then buy organic peanut butter (myprotein is good for bulk) and thin with hot water before use.

  11. you need to look to see if they are soluble most are you may need to look into how emulsions work with the flavours you wish to spread about the swim it's the emulsions that carry the oil based and organic flavours. https://www.jessicagavin.com/what-is-an-emulsion/

I did a bit of work experience at Oxford Linear Fisheries and got asked about spots as I was walking around the lakes quite frequently. Unfortunately for them I barely even knew the names of the lakes and I got a few funny looks when I mentioned as much. In my three weeks there, I fished only one night. Apparently the "swim" I was fishing was actually more of a hole in the bush. I was also made aware that I was stitching up the best swim on the lake to fish this "hole in the bush" which I'm sure nobody moaned about! 😄

I once told a mate loads of my spots on my old lake. For the life of him he couldn't find anything in any of the swims I told him about. Only when he asked me what length my rods were did we realise what was going on. He uses 12ft and mine were 12ft 6in 😂
