  3. When I needed to lose weight I found that the smallest steps produced the biggest results.... cutting out sugar in tea, having lactose free skimmed milk in tea, (you don't notice after a day or two...) cutting out biscuits altogether (my biggest sin) stopped putting butter in mashed spuds, it's all little things that mount up, grilling meat rather than frying it, having only a couple of rashers of bacon instead of 4... smaller portions, more veg, less spuds and meat... another big tip is to regulate your eating times... we never eat later than 6pm now, and drinking less tea or coffee before bedtimes helps with better sleep, and having decaf tea instead of normal... and the last cup no later than 8pm... sounds odd, but those changes have helped me no end... I feel healthier and fitter and I sleep better

    What type of fish

Look like normal Common Carp to me - definitely not Crusians as their fins are convex (outwardly curved) not concave like you see in the middle picture. They could be a match type hybred F1 or whatever they are called which are stunted in growth.

  7. They do but only large amounts he rolls for a lot of companies when their orders back up, Andy is a very easy going guy and ships a lot of bait over to Europe at one time he would roll smallish amounts of a custom bait but there is nothing in it for him especially if it's a passing fancy one off. His own baits are top shelf three recipes a red fishmeal a gold fish meal and a nut. Ssssh awesome bait the best i have used in regards to a HNV bait the Cov Gold is just packed with krill and GLM with the Tuna fishmeal and robin gold plus a liquid attraction and as you are a pop up guy their pink midland special has put me a few biggies on the bank it is a fizzy pear with high leakage attraction works well in silt.

  10. Thanks both, I thought so. I'll keep this in mind for next time. It's all a learning curve - even for the simplest of things!!

It would be a nice time to have some luxury items to sell, if you don't need em anymore wouldn't be a bad time to sell, I did sell quite a few bits for the father In law last year, £275 for a youngs purist 2 centrepin reel,(was nice I wanted it really) a pair or of 2 rod vintage solar buzz bars got nearly 50 quid, madness, I will see how the bonus situation goes this month and see what else I can sell,😂 I really miss overtime now, the good old days where I could do a Sunday or 2 for the extra bits I need, like fishing reels and so on 😂

The prices are ridic at the mo aint they?!! I've just taken my SS3's off the rods in favour of something more suited to distance and I'm almost considering selling them. I have like 8 or 9 spare spools and all together they're worth ~2k which is ridiculous. The tournies are essentially the same thing so 400 notes is a proper bargain. The chap selling them is in your neck of the woods too mate.

I do still have to save a bit tbh, but will consider it thanks that seems a decent price , I sort of gave up looking at 2nd hand diawa reels because they always seemed the same price as nearly new 😳

  14. Yes. If you wear them all day they'll become minging very quickly. They'll stink of stale sweat mate.

  15. When I've used them for the purpose, cast rods, play fish,... When all that is done and need to sit down, I just roll them down to top of wellie boot, then pull them back up when needed.

You can get a set of tournies for that mate. I know of a set up for 400 quid.

  17. My waders are a good size larger then my shoe size, I tend to wear a pair of thin cotton socks under thick woollen socks and wanted the extra space. I like my waders to be a bit spacious so I can get them on and off quickly and easily.

Part of the joy of fishing is taking in the scenery and I always try to take a few photo's to capture the moment.
