Looking like the best 7 quid I've spent, too many mozzie idiots around tonight, it's been another day of go slow elmo tbh, I've seen a couple of backs over my baited spot, and some bubbles very weedy so I've cleared it a bit with a grippa lead, few liners have a feeling I may catch a bream tonight lots of twitchy line bites so far, I've had a moorhen all over me today has been in the bivvy and all sorts, Time for a cider and dinner I think3 points -

Hopefully I'm fishing Monday but my club are still not allowing nights on there waters, so it's a day session only for me but I will make it a long one. I'm going to take my surface gear and have a go for them off the top, I've not caught one of the top for years. Should be fun and make a change. πππ£1 point -

Bit of spodding advice if you don't mind, what ever reel you get if you are using a heavy spod make sure the spool is at the bottom of the reel spindle before casting, some guys like the spool at the top of the spindle which will lead to a bend in the reel spindle and that can happen on the most expensive of spodding reels when slinging out your best munga TMKorda.1 point -

If you are hitting the clip too hard have a look at the airbomb it's kind of got a shock absorber I've used mine a couple of tines now starting to get the hang of it now π I have a wychwood dispatch S1 spod rod that's pretty decent, I think cheap reels for spodding are a bit of a waste of time the sonik one isn't up to it imo , when you get into spodding it's worth remembering this is the rod and reel you will use most and will take the biggest amount of punishment, if you buy cheap you will need to replace it Might be worth looking at second hand to see what's out there1 point -

First time video

I had a busy lockdown period. Lots of building work at home, lots of work and maintenance down the lake and also tried getting to grips with filming and editing. Once lockdown ended, I managed to get out for a few short trips which gave me chance to flip the switch on the camera to video mode. Hereβs the outcome of the two trips that I filmed.1 point
