elmoputney Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 Right 4 sections 1 bucket for a session, what goes in your bucket? Mine Boilies Matching pellets or pellet mix Chops and crumb (cold) or more boilies Sweetcorn/maize/tigers kevtaylor and B B 2 Quote
kevtaylor Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 depends could have a few of these lol One could be splitting 3 sizes of pellet and something else for catapulting baits out. Could have another splitting particles up in the same way. I could replace 4 buckets on the barrow with one of these and top it up as needed - will be buying 👍 elmoputney 1 Quote

But for a quick session you can still make a decent fresh mix and not need loads of buckets. kevtaylor 1 Quote

jules007 Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 I do a similar thing but just using 2.5 kg bait bucket i put maybe 1kg of boilie in bottom and have some small plastic tubs with maybe a different boilie in one and pellets in another Quote
salokcinnodrog Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 I have a 5l bucket with pellets and bag mix in, tubs of pop-ups and my pva bags and mesh live on top of them as I need. Another 5litre bucket of boilies for feeding and baiting up at the end of a session. Quote

Expand Guys thanks for replying, I think you are kind of missing the point of this question a little bit, I don't want to know what you actually do. But what you would do with the 4 sections of the kontainer. What would you take in those 4 sections to make essentially your chosen bait mix. Quote

Expand Really tricky for me to answer as I chop and change when I feel certain baits are more/less effective at different times of year. I rarely use 4 ingredients in a mix tbh. In Spring I'd normally be using a pot of black foam or pop ups. Maybe a kilo of of boilies just in case. Post spawning I'd be boilie fishing. Soon as the weed starts dying I'd be playing with naturals. All water dependant of course.... I'll be on the tigers if bird life or nuisance species are an issue. I can't remember the last time I took 4 ingredients tbh. jh92 and elmoputney 2 Quote
kevtaylor Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 I can see me using one of these for boilies in the 3 forms: whole, chop and crumb. Maybe another for pellets in different sizes. Particle is usually mixed, yet I'll maybe keep the tigers separate. Hookbaits, I've got a 6 tub container in my rucksack for match the hatch and a ridgemonkey bucket for alternative hookbaits and liquids so that always comes along. elmoputney 1 Quote

Expand I honestly don't think that the container would fit in my fishing simply because of my fishing at the moment. A bucket of particles or particle/pellet mix, another bucket of boilies, then the bag mix bucket which covers multiple sessions. I frequently take a sack of pellets and Vitalin/Vitacarp and keep it in the car to top up every day. I also usually have a few tins of sweetcorn in there as well. It might work if I did single overnight trips, in fact it might be an idea for my occasional chub/barbel trips to make bait carrying easier as I frequently end up with multiple ice cream containers containing luncheon meat, hemp, pellets and boilies. I suppose you could use the bucket and innards for the daily bait up? jules007 1 Quote

Expand Thanks guys. nick, I'm not trying to make you buy one don't worry 😉 this is a hypothetical question,I'm just interested in what people would take if they had 4 kontainer sections, so which four bait options would you take to make the best spod mix you would take anywhere? You can also carry hookbaits, bag mixes, liquids etc so you don't need to worry about those Eg Boilies Chops Pellets Garlic Maize Would be something I could take anywhere confidently. jh92 Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 This might sound daft but what is the purpose of having them separated? Like if you take it to the lake, do you not mix it up and bait up with it anyway? Sort of reminds me of the match boys with the different tubs of worms, casters, maggots etc lol Quote

Good tip for carrying less on your barrow 😉 yonny and jh92 2 Quote
