Well I can't even upload a screenshot atm🙄 He had a nice little perch about 1 1/2 lb. Needless to say he now wants try live baiting next time. Predator fishing is allowed on my ticket from October with some perch around the 3-4lb mark. Well that is if we get some more rain and increased oxygen levels in the water🤞

Sad to hear the fish are dying there @Golden Paws. The lack of rain this year is really taking its toll. On a brighter note, took my son up to the little farm lake again. After trying every lure we had, I foul hooked a small roach with the lure & thought shall I leave it on??? This was the result..

Few bits for Sunday night. Interested to see what the feram8c scissors are like. Guy in the shop said they'll last a 100 years🤔

Not a believer personally, but good luck. Nature can be a real beach.!! Seeing you're power requirements had me asking a question? Has anyone had any experience with solar power gor fisheries? Thankfully we dont need an electric fence, but do need to run aerators & or a fountain. I would be interested in anyone's thoughts or expertise. Thanks

Sacked off an overnighter with my youngest, we didn't fancy packing up in the rain. Went to a little farm lake instead for a few little ones. He caught his new pb log.

I don't ever want a repeat of yesterday. A friends lake, troubled with 2 large fallen trees, excessive Canadian and pond weed, lack of any rain (which usually helps keep good water quality). 8 gone, between 15-30lb. Sad day

It happens buddy. I went nearly 2 seasons on a large water just catching the odd bream. Have you got confidence in a. your spots, b. your rigs and c. Bait??? I very gone back to a rig I have every confidence in, check. Bait is good, but always changing pop up colour on the snowman. So just leaves spot, which is mainly down to watercraft & arguably a bit of luck. In the past I'd be quick to change everything, big mistake. Just small tweaks can make all the difference along with time at the water, you'll unlock the puzzle soon enough.

I bet the sceptic didn't have either. Bring back public flogging

How come this politician doesn't get slapped with £1200 fine for fishing without a rod licence??? He can afford it. Them & us. Always has been

I had to get a few parts that were nicked from my garage, after trolling the web, I just went direct to Carp porter. They're very helpful. Part of the Korda family from what I can gather.

Fishing Tackle Reviews - What's Your Go-To Gear?
commonly replied to gluhunt54's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
I've tended to go middle of the road price wise. Currently using, Rod -free spirit Helical (13ft for my old reservoir ticket) Reels -Shimano 10000 xtr baitrunners (going strong after 11 years) Alarms- ATT's with deluxe receiver Line -Gardner Hydrotuff 18lb (for very snaggy res) Bivvy - JRC 2 man 2 skin (nearly good as new after 11 years) Hooklink -Rigmarole hydro link or flurocarbon. Hooks -Korda Krank, Kurv, chod & wide gape, in all sizes from 8-2. OMC Lock in 4, seems OK but not had them long. Barrow - Carp porter mk2 Bedchair - Lidsters xl. Not long had it, but seems well built. Had a few cheap ones, which are a waste of money. Nash indulgence gave up after about 3 years. I'm on the large side though. Scales -Ruben Heaton Sling and stink bag -Shimano Net- Sonik 2 piece. Handy for stalking. Had this a few years now, it's out lasted Trakker, Greys & JRC ones. There is loads to choose from different manufacturers, all pretty similar in their offerings & price range, it can be confusing. I try to keep everything simple.... A good tackle shop should set you up with reasonable kit if you tell them what kind of waters you're on Good luck
