  1. It's reasonable, depends on what you are buying. Saw Jeremy wade one year, absolute legend! I haven't been for the last 2, but I've always had a bargain ot two. Eric's is normally the cheapest,
  2. You were on the money 1st off Imo, GT HD on my spools. No springing as yet been on my reels for 6 months or so. I have X line (fluro) on my spares Gardner HD floater line
  3. When do you get back to the UK?? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.thebigoneshow.co.uk/&ved=2ahUKEwisgfCcxJzgAhVUr3EKHeMLDeIQFjAAegQIBhAD&usg=AOvVaw1EOh3DsTUV_p6QTTnTFARi Late March, bargains to be had
  4. Yeah of Sandhurst lake, opposite, might of struggled landing anything over the boundary fences though.
  5. Oh yeah, stick on a 4oz lead, I use pva mesh with 5 freebies, get that range quite comfortably, if you had big pits you'd get a bit further. I remember going to Pads Yately for my 40th,with new said gear, 1st time out. 4 acres so about 90 yds to other side, I let rip on the 1st cast, straight over lake, bank & the 8ft boundary fence, oops!!! 😂 😂 😂
  6. I've got Sonik XTR's, 3.25 TC, 50 mm butt rings. A mate busted one, haven't been bothered to get a replacement yet, supposedly lifetime guarantee. But great action, I've cast small pva bags to around 80 yds comfortably. I also brought them from Eric's @the big one 5 years ago. Spent a grand, new shimy 10000 bait runners, bivvy, fox alarms (Got ATT'S now, look much tidier) & few other bits. They do better deals on the Sunday because they don't want to take gear back with them I guess. Highy has quite a bit of Sonik gear, so he'll tell you what the other gear is like.
  7. I used to feel that way until I joined a 2 Rod venue. Now only fish 2 wherever, makes me think more about the swim, etc., less disturbance on the water, etc.
  8. You had a bad day mate?? You go from compassion to sensible and then full on av it!! 😂
  9. You know that! Ive had some late doubles that give a better account of themselves than some late 20's. Some of the bigger ones almost swim to the net!! If my memory serves me right! Like you say its been a while. Giving up my rock hard 30 fish in 9 acre Syndi, focusing on an almost untouched estate venue. They only go to mid 20, but hoping to be more successful this year🤞
  10. Let's hope your shirt was like a bream & the hook does what it's sposed to when you get a little scrapper on
  11. Does it grip in the serrated bend??? I take it by the fact you've done some rigs, that they look like they will do the job. As discussed on another thread on these, if they give a good hold & cause less mouth damage, I would definitely change to them. You're the official (not) Carp.Com field tester on this product.
  12. At least they should come out of your thumb easier than barbed one's
  13. I thought its monster baits??? 🤔
  14. Are you looking for sponsorship??? 😂 Love em or hate em, they do decent end tackle
  15. I thought they'd of just slipped on those hooks?? I either split them or hook my finger! 😂 Nice n neat. Combi??

    Silly Rules

Personally I can't stand all the the restrictions & am fortunate enough to have a venue with only EA rules, which are not really monitored. Nuts, fake plastic baits, shelfies, no surface fishing, bait boats, etc. etc. it seems that alot of these products come to market, everyone buys them & then most venues ban them??? Whilst I appreciate fish safety is paramount, a bad angler should be shown the way by the bailiff or fellow anglers. Or told in no uncertain terms that they should take up a different hobby!!

    Silly Rules

Couldn't find the topic on shelf life, so this thread seemed just as relevant. Although I do appreciate low quality shelf life boilies can cause breakdown issues, Recently trawling Internet for stag venues & noticed the majority of public access venues have now banned them. As I've seen here, certain high impact shelfies are more effective on short sessions. Could this spell the end of them??
  18. Go prepared and enjoy!! Lucky [censored], trying to get a pass for mid Feb
  19. I've got the Chub all in one, too warm really, not often had to use it, but nice to have it just on case
  20. Ask @Highy to have a look in his cupboard, I bet he's got one kicking around somewhere
  21. Let me guess you found them in your wardrobe, when you were getting your selfie stick out!! Have you got any old video players in there Del ??
  22. I've done well and know others that have caught some of the lakes more desirable fish, very shortly after the thaw
  23. I can see why you wouldn't use it on your normal water!! Lol As you said it served its purpose, nice
  24. Isn't that the £25 one?? Fair play
  25. I am looking at the same one. Same questions. a few weeks ago on thread bait boat. In tackle Got to be worth a try. No one on here has got one...... Yet. Not alot of venues allow them, so not really a popular talking point I guess
