    And I always ping carp hooks in a sharpening vice lol

    When I used to tie flies we were taught to ping the hook in the vice before tying on them if it sounded dull throw the hook away and don’t waste time they were always the weak ones and it surprising how many are weak when you ping them

    My last 3 slip ups ups changed to lead clips from helicopters gone from 9” Ronnie booms to around 5 hook size 5 trighammers from curves lol

    I’m lucky I have a vacuum sealer and I break mine into kilo bags

    They are a dual purpose spod and marker rod you really wouldn’t want to try and play a fish on them except maybe a catfish

    I bought a set of 13ft 3.55 tc CTX for fishing some of the local ressies around January time and I still haven’t got round to using them yet

    I think it depends on what kind of leader you are doing as to what knot leadcore or unleaded I will use a nail/needle knot shock leader knot will be a mahin knot

    Try sweet corn and chopped worm the chopped worm will get them buzzing And that will get them eating the corn boilie sand pop ups will be alien to them now

    I only use a mahin knot on braid to mono its basically an albright with an over hand loop In the end of the mono

    And a big loop on the end so you can get a spomb through with a smaller loop at the end of that just so you can loosen that loop to take it back off again

    Around Half a rod out the top and 4/5 turns On the reel

    If you check that place using google earth you may find different pictures where you see gravel bars etc just check different views for it at least that’s the theory to it lol
