  1. Certainly sounds like it
  2. Don’t thank me Yet it might not be it lol tbh I don’t think there is much to a reel so it can’t be a lot
  3. Possibly needs a bit of grease on the washers ? or maybe there’s Grit or dirt or something in the cap somewhere
  4. The esp ones are good I use the Gardner bugs myself but have different things for different situations like solid Swing arms if it’s windy to cut out false beeps And differnet types of chain or Dacron different bobbin for different weights as well
  5. Do you not turn the head to loose the grip on the line like most others? *just checked no adjustment * the reviews are not very good highlighting the same problem
  6. , Mahn knot, back to back grinner Some do an albrite knot about 1.5 x rod length plus 4 or 5 turns on the reel
  7. Fast, compound, semi stiff, parabolic, Through. To many variations so I use that terminology as most can understand them even the wife lol
  8. It’s not the test curve of the rod it’s the action you need to consider you can get a baggy 3.5lb test curve and a tighter 2.75lb test curve and the 3.5 will be better to play on than the 2.75 but the 2.75 will cast further than the 3.5.
  9. There are all one and the same apart from the material used. you can make a longer D by just whipping down towards the bend with more turns
  10. How long is your leader?
  11. I know you are supposed to need a license to fish in the sea in Spain and the Spanish islands. most get away with it but my luck I wouldn’t lol the license place is in Tenerife (from memory) but there is a guy who lives there that Will sort the license out for you that seems to come highly recommended. will try and find his details as I was going to do it for the next time I go to Gran Canaria
  12. I used to use 8lb nylon with a leader of 50lb years ago and ever had a problem as the leader takes the shock of the cast not the mainline With 25lb braid as there is no stretch in it I would add a leader minimum 40lb preferably 50lb as a spod could weigh somewhere between 5 or 7 oz. giving it the buggun will cause issues. Make sure your cast is smooth and not snatchy
  13. That is all you need or you could buy a tapered leader
  14. Actually got round to doing mine today and managed to eek a few more bits out of the bag and into the save in van box lol
  15. The blue lens are great for sea fishing abroad where they have clear water i still have a pair of optic somewhere might have to find them out for the rivers
  16. Good find never seen those and if it’s good enough for laney...
  17. I think you may struggle to get anything any good for that value especially 3 of them the jrc radar get good reviews as do some of the sonics you could also look at the Nash s5r
  18. How many do you need? and is that each alarm or the set ?
  19. Do you need a receiver?
  20. Such a shame these can’t be made again with today’s technology in cameras
  21. I learnt to tie flies years ago I can tie them to the shank lol like the old fox hooks
  22. Can do a sample of night walk in the kindle app but not winterwalk
  23. No reason why you shouldn’t try to tie it at least, it might suit your fishing. don’t go and buy anything you haven’t got as it will be a waste of money for 1 rig lol
  24. This is all opinion though
