  1. Whilst it is unlikely it “could” still happen with a running lead. that same wind knot “could” loop over itself pig tail and lock in the lead Ala a single granny knot. “could” pick up a piece of detritus on the bed and do the same. unless you can take out every “could” You will always be left with an element of risk. i am happy to use a leadcore leader but I will use a knotless knot (Moors knot ) to join it to minimise the risk. Use a Korda no trace bead and again take out an element of risk i would be happy to see the no trace beads more supple/stretchy rather than hard plastic.
  2. Could Always just use paste it’s a non boiled boilie
  3. I wasn’t aiming my reply at anyone Elmo just a general comment. i think the hit and run products are very good
  4. Don’t care what anyone says, There is no fool proof lead set up the best you can hope for is to minimise any problems if and when it happens underwater, anything can happen once the line has snapped off.
  5. Pepperami luncheon meat hemp maples groats are a really easy particle to prepare and flavour up And gives off a nice milky cloud
  6. I have the wychwood epic oval mat great bit of kit just too heavy for my style of fishing great if I’m”carmping” though
  7. Removable base so if you fish a water where sides are not needed you can leave that bit at home
  8. Thinking anglers new one looks pretty good maybe the walls could do with being slightly higher but still 100mm https://fb.watch/A9qijnzvSU/?
  9. I would then fill it in with spombs, marker floats, deeper etc when I was leaving let them know exactly what it’s like… that’ll learn em
  10. Brand new alarms and pod left in swim when packing van up and having to go back jag compact pod set up (in grey when they first came out) and ace i3 alarms total of about a grand lol about the worst
  11. There is a lake on one of my club tickets where a certain point is only a foot away from someone else’s water (close to an island.) plenty of times there has been arguements on whose it actually is.
  12. Can you Rake it to make a clear spot nice little sea lead can make a dent in the weed enough to present 👍
  13. 2 new 20l Jerry cans new set of scupper valves new fuel filter new electric pump tube of mastic to reseal fuel tank don’t buy a boat lol broke down last weekend was going on a double figure smoothound hunt..
  14. No blueys lol
  15. I have an alternate story lol where my mate filled in his spot and caught sod all and I went in with crumbed boilies and caught all weekend lol fish probably not on the bottom atm anyway so just go in with zigs at various depths lol if you have an allowance of 3 rods then You can have different options on each. fill in 1 zig with 1 and bits on 1. the joys of carp fishing lol
  16. But then that could kill it even more lol its all a headache and keep blanking isnt nice if that means that much to catch personally I go to get away from real life my last 3 visits to a bank were socials and the rods were only in the water for a couple of hours a day over the course of a weekend. “Take what you will from this. You might say that the bailiff should not be ignored, after all they know the water as well as anyone. On the flip side, doing what others suggest takes away from what really matters which is figuring the place out. I have to say that not using a rig because it's in vouge is completely illogical. By all means try to be different, but if you're going to avoid using a rig at least have a good reason for it.” 👏👏
  17. You haven’t said the size of fish that are in the lake if they are smalll ones I would give the chod a miss I think I would keep it simple In no particular order go with what the bailiff said just to get the bite. stick a pva bag put with a small 10mm hook bait put a zig out go in with a float and worm and hunt them down weather due to break this week so that will help a bit.
  18. Apparently made/rolled by munch baits they sold their baits for about 50p a kilo.
  19. If they are having it then it really doesn’t matter if you throw a brick in if on top of bubblers I would probably prefer a catty a couple in rather than a brick lol if I’m fishing a bag then I probably wouldnt bother with anything else anyway. so yup what ever floats your boat.
  20. A stick or catty is a little more subtle than thrashing a spomb around at dusk though lol
  21. Walk round the other side of the lake and check your margin lol bet it looks just as carpy
  22. Margin fishing the most overlooked feature on a lake
  23. I know someone who had rods built by him they said similar but the rods were great when he got them.
  24. No personal experience but Apparently the rods are fantastic, if and when you finally get the rods. customer service, speed of service, communication on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. if it was me, I would be looking elsewhere.
  25. I use slosh 20’s on my sandstorms looking to get a pair of 30’s for the uptiders
