  1. I’d be looking at between 12 and 15lb if you get 2 spools on the reel then I would get both one for the open water fishing and the other for the “snaggier” areas. If you can only afford the one line then get the 15lb imo I would be looking at fishing the margins on a float and hopping between swims Float fishing with sweetcorn or luncheon meat on the hook. bobs ya uncle…
  2. Check the rules on the lake you are fishing for line strengths or diameters no point getting kicked off before you start for being under gunned. most of my type of fishing is done with 4000 size reels and have no problems.
  3. My first “bivvy” was the old Shakespeare cypry dome. bought it on cheque spread from Penge angling. wouldn't like to think how much that was in todays money.
  4. I also hate the term quick overnighter lol i also don’t care how long the shelter takes to put up so when they say it only takes less than a minute to put up that really doesn’t interest me It takes me longer than that to get all the bits out of the bags and then it would be the last thing to go up if at all, i get all the head room I want with nothing over the top. I just want covering if it’s going to rain lol tend to get less bothered by mozzies also I find. back to your problem. If you barrow all the kit around then yep it probably really doesn’t matter if you carry it then it does. im afraid it’s going to be which one suits you best good Luck with whatever one you choose 👍 Ps never seen the ninja rods but I use the ninja reels and I really like them I also have a set of the shimano tx compact 4 piece but in 12foot 2.5tc
  5. Depends on if you want to camp or carp lol all joking aside never used either so can’t help sorry. i would imagine the Nash being the weight of a small transit and the fox the weight of a mini that alone may make a difference depending on how you get from vehicle to swim. unless I’m doing any longer than a weekend then I would either be under a fast and lite or a trakker tempest mk1 brolly. Depending on weather and time of year so think they would both be over the top for my fishing.
  6. I just fill my spools with something cheap like a 100m spool in the same bs as the stuff I want to use and then just fill up with the other line. as long as it comes on 100m spools I don’t care it never gets replaced. usually get 3 spools filled out of a bulk spool then. i would get bored counting turns and probably loose count anyway..
  7. If the leney carp website is the one he’s got some good provenance there.
  8. Technically…. they can’t be leneys as he’s been dead for donkeys years only called leneys because of Donald lol Leneycarp.com
  9. You will get loads of different answers and still be confused. Scrub that I see you are in Asia not sure what baits you can ge too I will have a look
  10. I also used to make my own baits back in the day when you had to. i can’t be bothered to make them so I go to baitworks now as I like the ethos of the whole business. i happily pay what ever it says in the shopPing trolley I don’t want or ask for any further discounts or to beholden to any company for tackle or bait I buy and use what I deem the BEST for the purpose that I need at the time. happy to use almost any tackle company from A-Z apart from 2 one that starts with O as I don’t like their company ethos and the other I haven’t bought any from since they started blaming customers for incorrect use of their flame thrower stoves. i do own a few Nash products but yep they seem to have lost their way. was watching someone use one of their bushwhackers yesterday and it went out miles lol
  11. And each will be 50p cheaper than the other company £3 a kilo guv…
  12. Those denture tablets make it very active lol

  14. Linda lusardi or Maria Whittaker was my preferred totty.
  15. Yep depends on what you want out of the mix 👍👍
  16. Cheap bag of brown and white crumb mix it with what ever you want I used to use groats or pigeon conditioner back in the day. add some colours and flavourings if you want use enough water to bind it up I used to make it 24 hours before hand to give it time to blend and soak in the water and other liquids. add some more water when at the lake to get it to stick to the feeder
  17. I found August is usually the same until the back end of the month
  18. It doesn’t matter as it’s a natural product and can’t be overdone I would just put a slug of it in
  19. That’s not only day ticket fisheries lol
