I keep a 3L crafty catcher clear tub in it full with pellets and it hasn’t fallen out yet lol so you can put the smaller buckets in them which is a bonus. this type below but tbh I’m not much of a carper anymore nowadays so rarely go out with it. the 9 footers sit better on it also as it’s lower. wrapped it with pipe lagging so they don’t scratch 👍 i imagine using a bigger bucket the weight is even better distributed. I can push mine using 1 finger on each hand.

Got bought the same thing at Xmas from the kids 👍👍

12 weeks garden leave and then I got made redundant 2 weeks before covid hit and lockdown happened. You would have thought after 23 years they could have furloughed me and then Made me redundant. 25k redundancy later and a new job in July on more money I think I won. 👍👍 the MD who made me and the others redundant was made to resign or get sacked 18 months later. just checked he has done 4 more jobs since “leaving”

There was always an air of anticipation on June 16th (usually followed by disappointment ) I think it should be re introduced but as a floating shut down once any of the species starts spawning then close for the 3 months not just carp. Nature would also appreciate it. think back to covid everyone was gagging to get back to it thats how it felt way back when. and from memory it was March to June

that should suffice if the conditions are ok. Play it by eye on the day you go and good luck -
Put the word bass after it and it’s almost as expensive as the word carp lol in the 00’s the word barbel was more expensive lol

-
OnE of the lakes on my club ticket was fenced off and had gates on it that were left unlocked so people could use it as it’s a public footpath. the locals complained and the fence was taken down the gates are still there 🔔🔔 river flows next to it

I just bought some of the latest small Abu cardinals to see what they are like loaded up with braid for chucking lures after the bass of the back of the boat. for 20£ each can’t complain if they are plastic then at least they can’t rust lol Dam rod the kids are currently chucking the older version of this around the rod is fully orange that were bought from AD and they get sling in the bilge when we leave the boat. the only problem so far on one reel the handle rusted so didn’t spin properly wd40 sorted that out -
old school Pay the lake … 👍👍

The problem is the “distributors” (I use that word as most are made by someone else anyway) are telling us that’s what we need so the lower test curve rods are just not available anymore because the “celebs/stars” are using heavy rods whether that be 6 footers 10 footers or 13 footers. I don’t have a problem with higher tc rods per se but the action isn’t kind on them as most are fast to enable distance casting. Couple that with the modern reels that the clutch is either tight or loose because everyone of the “stars/celebs” and their dog are using quick clutch reels.

Assuming you are a raw beginner here so apologise if not Unfortunately it isn’t simply a case of best rig they could be mid layer which would mean a zig they could be on the top and up for a floater but easiest to tie and most universal will be a knotless knot hair rig. check out carl and Alex on you tube for their early stuff as that may give you some idea watching it is easier than describing it -
Not sure if northern specials is a specific American bait by Nash as never heard of that one. cc Moore make a northern special which is a hook bait. you could try around a 1mm drill bit or American equivalent. (Around 1/32 give or take) drill slowly and it shouldn’t break the back of the boilie out

Other notable lakes: Lake Kastoria, Lake Aliakmonas, Lake Ladonas, and Lake Pinios also offer carp fishing opportunities. Lake Aoos: Near Ioannina, known for carp, sturgeon, and trout. Lake Pamvotis: Also near Ioannina, with grass carp and common carp.
