    I’m sure the barbless only rule is a hang on from the old fashioned hooks like the jack hiltons that looked more like a harpoon that a barb.

    Probably not a better reel around for margin work but if you let the fish get over 30 yards away it feels like you are winding it back in for weeks lol

    ninjas gs4000 legalis 3 in the daiwa range but I would stick to what you have already unless you know how to use a pin you will get really frustrated and end up chucking it away so don’t bother.

    Just cast somewhere else if you get little plinks and plunks and odd beep i have a few lakes I fish that are riddled with them

    Got up to go out this morning got there and walked around to see what was about but the rivers flooded into the lakes so screwed that one up back home by 10.30 try a different lake tomorrow that should be good will no doubt be high but at least there’s no river feeding it lol

    Are you using the tapered bit ? one of the cheaper brands like bank tackle or someone like that do a copy of the Korda bead now if needed

    Possibly but the point is put proper packaging on it in the first place and the damage is limited especially if paying £5 for p&p costs them for the 2nd lot of postage as well!! the amount of these books that have been damaged is silly relying on a Jiffy bag just isn’t cricket lol great business model hahah

    My new copy turned up today I asked the packed it properly this time and they have why they didn’t do this in the first place I don’t know

    I think it was Jerry Hammond who messed up one of his mixes before and it was either doubled or trebled the recommended flavour levels and had his best hit ever on those hookbaits. I can check out his book again to make sure if needed lol
