In todays world any “shop” without an online presence is just a fool. even if it’s just a Facebook page. I go to my local shop first and never have I asked for any discount. they do only stock common brands and I have even asked them to get certain things if they can get it I will buy it from them. I even gave them the chance to get me some rods but they couldn’t get an account so had to go elsewhere for them. Otherwise most of the time it will either be 2 of the big boys I would also like to support the forum but the shop attached hasn’t got a single thing in stock. my local angling direct is just poor and I can only think of 2 or3 things I have bought from there and that’s because they were the only ones who had in stock and probably during covid

Have you had a look at the snugpak range ? they now do a thermal waterproof jacket admittedly it’s a bit on the expensive side though

Both pre feed it with a couple of times a week with cheap pack bait particles or balls of groundbait as we call it this side of the pond then when you go fishing use the method feeder. could use scalded pellet as a binder

This is why one set of rods can’t do it all… but if you can only have the one set do you go for a set that can cast to the moon or struggle to get over 80 yards?? im lucky and have a set for any situation I may encounter if that means using a 6’ rod or a 13’ poker then so be it

I have a couple for freshwater use one of those yellow hobbies that attach to the bait boat and a deeper pro plus. I turn the fish finder part off and just use them as a mapping tool my gps fish finder on my boat I use all the features on it but then I am fishing in the sea ..
