  1. The bottom pic look like one of those Korda drop lead things
  2. To be fair , even if both were your advocated running rigs nothing is coming off with that much line on them sorry Nick but my opinion is that isn’t leadcore fault As both rigs have lead clips maybe should go for those as well. I do agree that not used carefully it can be a real hazard but to blanket ban the use is harsh personally there is no need for anyone to tie rigs wrong with the plethora of videos there are around now a days. I happily use lead core but the lengths I use are usually around 1 foot- 18” maximum and that is only if there is weed so I have a bit of protection. mine is usually tied using the Keith moors knot so it’s actually a Knotless knot for leadcore or I will needle knot it.
  3. Just had a look at his fb page still stands good luck to him whatever or where ever he lays his hat
  4. None of my current rods lol if I could go back it would be either my 2 old fox green barbel rods 1 1/2lb tc or the old masterline John Wilson Avon quiver rod that everyone had when we were growing up. or dam 11 ft quicksilver carp rod 2lb tc my first “proper” carp rod my reel would be my ltd edition youngs centre pin bought for me by my mrs years ago for Xmas my landing net would be my north western I still have that but the pole I snapped which was an ultra cult reverse taper carbon handle
  5. Looks like he is leaving rather than being pushed I would reckon he will go to thinking anglers as he uses sticky baits anyway or Gardner would be a good one for him
  6. Good luck to him what ever or wherever he decides to go or do

  15. Try it by hand and see it it still splits ? I have a couple of presses for pop ups but they are usually made around a corkball so you don’t use too much heavy paste

  18. Provided you don’t have to walk far they are great boots and it doesn’t matter what foot they go on as they are ambidextrous hahaha
  19. Unfortunately, You have to vote for someone who’s policies you believe in to be able to cast a vote, I haven’t seen a ‘buffoon’ from any party around my way canvassing for votes for at least 10 years. I don’t tend to get involved in political threads so I’m going to bow out again. But agree hope it doesn’t get pulled
  20. Arktis coat thin micro fleece and a thermal vest crag hopper winter lined trousers if it’s really cold long johns under or a pair of trakker bib and brace if it’s raining shoes are a big issue for me as I suffer with cold feet so Moreno wool socks and either my ankle muck boots if it’s not too cold or long chore boots if it’s really cold and likely to be flooded a woollen hat as fleece makes your head sweat. icant remember what gloves I wear but probably just a wooden pair and if it’s cold a liner pair under. I think fishmeal baits have changed over the years and not as bad for locking up as they used to be but I favour either a hi viz and leakage pop up and a small bag of something what ever is in the bucket. Or as said a zig I can’t be bothered to night fish in the cold conditions anymore age does that to ya in the end but will work harder on shorter day sessions. Sarnie from the shop and a bottle of water will do me on the days I do also carry a burner etc for a cuppa but it’s usually powdered milk and a coffee I will say though make sure your burner has a pre heat pipe or is a Coleman many a time waiting for an hour to boil a kettle because the gas is too cold…
