    I usually go the minimalist route so just use adjustable cross bars that are stored in the barrow. if I don’t want that set up to move at all I add stage stands and screw them into the platforms where I can. My buzz bars I can change from single stick to cross bar so I do have a very versatile set up with no real extra weight.

    I think the problem with these forced large carp is they don’t last he said he thinks big rig died through spawning but the. It was an old fish at 15….. didnt some of the leney fish get to around 60 or 70 years old… if they float your boat then knock yourself out not my kind of fish so couldn’t see myself ever fishing those kind of waters.

    Welcome back I am on a 3-4 year carp break so far lol Last Time I went was when they opened after lockdown then when the angling trust said oh look what we have done to get everyone back out, I didn’t go again. the fish haven’t changed but the amount of stinky winky you can buy to catch one has lol use what you had last time out with the same set up and you will still catch one.

    assess every situation if it’s cold moody or hot just bait enough to get the bite then you can add more and more once the action starts. Wasn't the baiting pyramid was a “proper pre bait tactic” a week or so before you go Chuck it all in far and wide to get everything feeding and then get less and less feed as you got closer to fishing in more of a tighter zone then essentially feed singles and stringers

    I think we all have if we are honest a buddy of mine chucked in half a 17l bucket of particle caught nothing I ground 7 boilies shared between 2 rods in pva sticks (i always use 7 never thought about that before.) And I had 6. everyone calls me tight, I just say I’m trying to catch ‘em not feed em lol.

    Consumer rights act 2015 Goods must be A fit for purpose. B last a reasonable length of time C be of reasonable quality take them back. to be fair to sonik they said the right thing as your contract is with the shop as Yonny correctly said. Assuming you bought from a uk shop? the only time you go direct to a manufacturer is if you buy direct from them.

    I would say you have found the fault if you speak to Weston developments they sell a line clip you may be able to use. but they would double the value of your reel on the old fashioned shark tooth v shaped line clip you inserted a piece of marker elastic into the clip first and it protected the line try that as a first fix. Not sure if John Robert’s still sell a line clip device I will have a look

    Yep or use the stinky winky braid you already have on it lol

    Stick 50 yards or so of mono or AN other braid and try it again doing what you do now. Chuck it out , wind it in and check the line where you have it around the clip. sometimes if you wrap the braid around the clip a couple of times it helps to cushion the blow.
