  1. I've not been shy in sharing how I got on, so just keep watching hopefully I will find something useful out about them,
  2. I want to catch one on a chod rig so I Might stick with that on the 4th rod or a Pva bag maybe but I think the key to zig success may be to fully commit to it and give it a proper go
  3. Just ordered some zig line and size 8 wide gapes, winter zigs are happening now 😁 got to be worth a try I think, I can use 4 Rods all at different depths one of them should work hopefully 🤞
  4. That's what I want to do tbh, but I just get these irrational thoughts about changing bait, I think it's called a wobble or something, I am looking at zig fishing presently, I don't think many will be using them on my lake, could be a winter solution to get me catching again, I've got some little scent from hell dumbells that I think may work a treat also some proper job dumbells to try, Ive never done it before but could be something different enough to work 🤔
  5. Probably not fit the spomb properly and fill the gap with bait 😁
  6. Free with a knock off spomb that doesn't always open 😂
  7. Sometimes though there is a good reason for something thiugh, I can really see the idea behind this, underloading or overloading a spomb can be a right pain, and getting bits in the nose can be annoying, this would actually make your spomb loads consistent, which would actually make you more accurate and probably quicker too, I do agree it's too expensive, but overall I think the idea is a good one 👍
  8. Well it seems that time of year again and bait anxiety is really starting to creep in, should I stick on the bait I've done well on or commit to another in the hope of better results next year? I think I am probably going to do another year on this lake and see if I can't get attached to some of the better fish, sensibly I will stick with it no need to change really but I always have that devil on my shoulder saying go on try that one it might just be better 😈 Aaaaaaaagh it's too much does anyone else get this all the time?
  9. Having thought about this a little more 😂 I bet a nice metal cooking spoon would be about right for this job 🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄🥄
  10. Bit does one level spoonful fill a spomb perfectly ? I don't know if I could justify the cost either but I wouldn't mind a scoop that does a similarly good job, I do like a mucky spod mix and usually my spod rod and reel seem to end up wearing it also 😂
  11. I bet koolada would be a good thing to try, that's the stuff they use to make the ice type liquids,
  12. I've only worn hot pants before 🔥😉
  13. I'll have 20 Zigarettes and box of matches please 😁
  14. It isn't that hard to do tbh, was just flavour, vg, pg, nicotine quite simple tbh then just steep it for a month and vape, there are loads of recipes online Sounds nice enjoy your fishing 👍
  15. Has anyone got a bank bug scooop? I think a tenner +postage seems pricey for what is essentially a scoop, but it does look a good invention, I know getting bits stuck in the front of my spomb drives me mental, it just looks like it would take the annoyance out of spombing 😁 https://www.bankbug.co.uk/key-products/scooop/
  16. I've made some vaping liquids before from scratch using flavours such as capella, I made a cracking peanut butter and custard one once, there could definitely be something in it
  17. a lot of glugs use vegetable glycerine, I'm not sure but I guess the flavours are probably made with a similar base, there are probably some great flavours you could add from the vaping world Framey is it such a bad idea to get them hooked on nicotine you could have them queuing up for a fix 😂 (just incase I am joking nicotine is toxic)
  18. I used to love the banter of a night shift, but it's not much fun when you know you have to be ready for the school run, certainly got tougher after kids, not sure I would want to go back now, I quite like the almost regular sleep
  19. That's something I wonder quite often I guess it would be a better fresher bait, but can you afford to use enough of it to get them confidently eating it, I mean the fish arent going to study the nutritional profile of the bait and make an informed choice to eat it, in my opinion if its half decent and they want to they will eat it,the more you can give them the better, for me it comes down to cost, if I could afford to use all the best baits in bulk I would but I would rather use 5kg of an OK/decent enough bait than 1kg of a top notch expensive bait,
  20. Cup of horlicks you would feel snug as a bug with that, 😏
  21. Gutted mate, hate that feeling, hope you get the chance to make up for it
  22. Hope you get one mate good luck, quite chilly today the cabin might be a nice luxury
  23. Can you not turn Down the swear filter Nick? filtering **** is unnecessary as is stinky winky 🤬
  24. You dont have to just use boilies though to create an impact, there are lots of cheaper alternatives You could get 25kg of pellets and 4l of molasses delivered free from blakes baits for just over £40 or sacks of particles also, I don't have loads of disposable income each month but the boilies I use are £6.50 a kg so I sacrifice other stuff to try and have at least 10kg in stock all broken down into 1kg or 1/2kg bags and just take what I think I'll need, for the session and I will bulk it out with a bucket of pellets and particles if the time is right or I am prebaiting, its knowing when to feed heavily is the art, I don't always get this right 😂
  25. It really depends on the situation and Conditions a kilo wouldnt last me a session though even in winter it would probably be fed once I've finished if not used before,it's a tough one to gauge though sometimes, I'm more confident fishing over bait tbh, and I use it to get loads of attraction going into the spot, if I don't catch this session normally it helps farther along the line, too many anglers base there success on one trip, mine is based on a season or year these days, I already think its been a successful year for me but I have used quite a lot of bait, for me bait is confidence and confidence will catch you more carp 👍
