  1. Excellent stuff Emmcee, great captures and stunning fish Don't ever go to a day ticket lake nowadays, that may send you over the edge these types are 10 a penny 😁
  2. That's why I always find stuff to mess about with whilst fishing because if I am sitting and WAITING, that alarm is Not going to scream into life. it's only going off whilst i am making dinner or asleep or emptying my bladder, or looking at the swim as far as you dare go from your rods, the carp always wait till you are compromised 🤔
  3. I can well believe that the front end looks like it has a huge desire for food, the back end just doesn't want to keep up 😁
  4. I do love an oddun that one looked like it could've gone huge if it wasn't for the deformaties it was still big, another great weekend and some more stunners to make me miss fishing even more 😁 Great stuff, it will be more special that next capture after lockdown, but wait we must 👍
  5. Excellent stuff emmcee some great fish and great stories too
  6. I don't like a beak point I can't see anyway they would be more effective tbh, just think the bend in the point makes it harder to prick it into the fishes mouth, but that's only my opinion
  7. Tbh I meant the d rig kicker with a trig Hammer makes a good pop up rig, naturally I haven't tried that one with a curve shank Paul as I havent got any curve shanks in stock
  8. It makes a well presented pop up rig though
  9. That'll do nicely cheers Yonny, wish I tried that earlier, perfect for bag fishing and nice and simple Got 50 size 4 curves on order should be enough to start with 😂
  10. Does look perfect tbh nice and simple thanks 👍
  11. Yep for Solid bags, I haven't really looked at the KD rig will have a play and see what comes out Cheers
  12. Now poses the question, I want to use a smaller non trig Hammer hook for my pva wafter set up, will a curve type be the one Part of me thinks keep it simple as these rigs won't be in the water long and also need to be cost effective (bank tackle curves??? Sharpened, ) Knotless knot with silicone and a tungsten kicker Or curve with a d rig kicker with micro swivel Both seem to work OK I think in my recent tests but I think the d rig will be slightly harder for the carp to eject? Anyone else have any thoughts on this set up?
  13. Did anyone watch daves lanes monster particle 2nd vlog yet? There was quite a good feature about Mono stretch vs braid, I wish braid wasn't banned on my lake 😞 I use hydrotuff 15lb it's one of the best for being stronger than rated on the tackle box tests, it's pretty bulletproof, seems to sink OK, great for snaggy waters I also have the 12lb for my spare spools if I need to put my big boy pants on to cast 🤠 I would check it periodically and maybe strip a few rod lengths off every few sessions but not once did this line cause any issues, it went through quite a lot of weed and stuff last year too,
  14. Don't suppose anyone happens to have some d rig kickers and a size 4 curve shank type hook do they? 😁 I wouldn't mind seeing how they look together if you have them in stock 😏 Thanks Elmo
  15. John Wayne Harry 🤠🤠🤠🤠
  16. Who's John Harry?????? 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
  17. I bet wouldn't have minded being a punk, bit before my time though 😉 I do like some of the music though, still sounds good today
  18. I put some hyper sensor on my baitrunner didn't really like it, I thought korda carp line was quite a good budget line, but I would rather spend a bit more on line and have found I get on really well with gardner hydrotuff
  19. Didn't Punks use it to keep the Mohicans at full mast?
  20. Nah one of the points of making it harder is that most people won't bother 👍 Also I've become quite attached to it of late, and have been doing well, my mix stinks to high heaven and seems to attract them so I'm happy enough it seems to be progressing in the right direction But Thanks for the input
  21. How often do you change your lines to give it hard use 😲😁
  22. I love em, sharp and great hook holds too, got full confidence in them now,
  23. I used to work with the originator of DT baits many years ago Dave Thorpe, he no longer had anything to do with the company for some reason though, and seemed to just leave carp fishing which was a shame as he was a great guy, very knowledgeable
  24. You could probably make some boilies with it too, would bind well enough
