charlieg got a reaction from salokcinnodrog in Variations on the theme, Multi-rig or Spinner rig.
Definitely different to your usual approach Nick. I think Adam Penning did something of a similar theme with a stiff boom connected to a Multi-Chod section via a short braided section. By all accounts worked really well.

I have also found that not putting too much of the tag end in the gate of the splicing needle helps when pulling back through.

It's a great tool when used with the right materials. Great for creating booms whether it be for Ronnie rig, Hinged Stiff Rig or Combi's. It's also good for creating short Chods if that's your kind of thing and allows you to consistently get the same length each time.

Elmo Hydrotuff is quite a thick mainline so I would go with the 12lb and a leader.

I wouldn’t tie a loop knot to then tie another knot to that. I would join the 2 materials together using a leader knot. Either a back to back grinner or Mahin knot for Fluoro to mono.

Carpology seem to be advertising BMG tackle heavily at the moment and I’ve just checked their site and may be the one. Looks like they have just trimmed a bit off of the aligner bit.

charlieg got a reaction from yonny in Gardner Hydro Tuff
Looking at the Gardner Tackle website HydroTuff is only available in Low Viz Green now. There is a note at the saying "*Limited stocks available of old style packaging of 10lb in Low-Viz Green and 12lb and 15lb in the superb Deep Brown." so you may struggle to find it in brown now.

charlieg got a reaction from finchey in "Decent" barbless hooks????
What Hooks do you normally use? Are these available in Barbless? If so I would stick with what you are confident in and I just like to add a bit of shrink tube to help keep the hook in place.

charlieg got a reaction from Addicted_Carper in Flurocarbon rig help
When you tie the knotless knot come back down the barrel of the knot a few times before putting the tag back through the eye of the hook. This helps to stop the material from contracting during the fight and snapping and should hopefully solve your problem.
Also 12lb in a fluorocarbon isn't very strong and as its invisible anyway I would look at a higher/thicker breaking strain.
