Well since the glorious 16th iv had the marker rod out over the dock most early evenings after work found some clean spots but the weed is growing like Japanese knot weed on steroids. Hereโs some pics from both ends

I fished a lake that had a big population of fair size Rudd they would devoured any soft baits we called them Ruddy Piranhas we found if we air dried our boilies so they were hard as marbles it gave the carp a chance.

Now if you could just tip half a load of gravel down the bottom end ...just between you and me ๐ค

When I go fishing on a 48 hr trip I use a single wheel barrow great movability but iv got to barrow my mates gear as well sometimes takes 3 trips ๐ฅต I borrowed this 3 wheeler from the guy in the nx swim as I had a puncture it was a joy to use but the ground was pretty flat...

As luck would have it iv been painting a property over looking my syndicate water and the view you get from above the water is a eye opener 5 floors up. Iv seen Grebes and Cormorants diving in the clear water,Ducks and the best of all Carp... looks like they be spawning soon tho. Itโs all indoor decorating but iv spent more time on the balcony looking than inside painting.....

Sticks for me and use them after every cast... if bites are hard to come by it can be worth adding a wrap or two or taking away just remember the original number of wraps you started with... Iโm getting old so all info goโs in the phone. If the wind gets up I use a heavier weight and punch it out.

I start on a syndicate water, ( my first time ) on the glorious 16th of June. I found out thereโs a 47lb er I donโt know if itโs a common or mirror and I donโt want to know, which could go 50 this year so thatโs my PB sorted , checked the rules, had a spy on the good old google earth and thatโs about it. Itโs 10mins bike ride away iv had a good look and will be just taking my marker rod for a while. Thereโs lots of vids on the YouTube how to fish it and pics of the fish but I donโt want to bother with any of that. My goals ...are to enjoy myself and do my own thing ...

I work the weekend so I can get the 2 days off in the week and hopefully get two swims close this is on day ticket waters but it doesnโt always pan out other anglers have the same idea, and carp angling is getting Sooo popular year by year Welcome to the forum ๐

Must swims it would be impossible to go for a full pendulum with the long drop... but a half pendulum is doable I can remember vividly fishing a big sea open comp in South Wales in 1986 over 300 anglers + would attend and on the best marks we all fished close, the big casters would stand well back from the line of anglers and do a full pen but give a warning shout. I was looking at one of the boys winding up for a big cast when his thumb slipped off the multiplier we all ducked and wondered where the lead fell when a fluorescent green shock leader fluttered down and landed across me the lead missed me by a rod length.

We all have days like that Pablo... Before I give the braid rod a cast I always flick the rod out put the rod tip under the water and reel in wets the line and the eyes..helps with not getting any knots. Better luck nx time ๐ -

Crocs in the summer for slipping on when getting out of the bag but still take the wellies, leave the Crocs home in the winter tho..the Navatas wellies are Sooo light and they come with a liner which you can wear in your bag... I hate doing muddy bootlaces up. -
Even got his own toilet paper ๐ณ

I had a thought earlier...(I get them now and then) ๐ค best check the fishy license...and it run out last week ๐
