Ran out of bait and the nearest tackle shop is over an hour away, bought some pony cubes from an animal feeds store. And some tinned corn, cannellini beans, red kidney beans and chick peas. Chucked some in and it sinks fine, silvers have moved in on it already 🤣

I've got the one that puts out just a single flame not the 3. Been a good little cooker so far if you use the flame correctly. Turn it right up and it's like a jet engine. Had it for over 6 months. £21 for 6 big cans. Mine also came with a adapter to use the skinny gas cans

A PB and one off the bucket list with a 12lb 12oz Bream and it was a a privilege to see one finally, had it on the carp gear which was a pity. Linear has been good to me over the years with the 3 Roach over 2lb in a mad 30mins spell,, Common Carp 46lb and now the Bream.

Trees opposite to me look like a squirrel chasing 2 scotty dogs...

Had a afternoon session on a general fishery with my mate, he picked me up from work and sort of kidnapped me 😇 I used his gear fishing off the top with floaters but they wasn’t interested one bit ..orrr so I thought 🤔 I found a floating feeder in his bag and mixed up some ground bait on the dry ish side, a small pebble inserted to give it a bit more weight and plugged off with the ground bait with a 12” hook length … and had 5 carp on the trot 😳 Heres a pic of his feeder or his mrs feeder …looks like he got it from a Ann Summers catalogue Korum got a small floating feeder I might give it a go when I’m at linear at the end of the month

Weather was all over the place up at this venue on the mountain.

Think my Txi'ds are 2 and ½ years old now, been out in some serious weather, plenty of rain, and extreme heat. About the only thing they haven't been subjected to is cold weather as I haven't done much winter carping for a while, its been no fishing or pike. I've replaced the receiver battery twice, and just gotten the low battery warning on 2 of the alarms, so I really must dig the new Duracell Pro batteries out of the kitchen draw.

Whoops just bought 3 12ft free spirit helicals 3.5lb tc, now should I buy the outstanding 8k and alarm before I tell the misses 😳

Having spend the weekend blanking I decided I quite like the emblems I like the clicky noise 😂 Although they aren't as good as the okuma 8k, I think I've decided the extractors are also a bit of a toy rod compared to a 12ft rod, I think I am going to sell all my rods and reels (apart from the 8k) buy another 8k and some 12ft 3.5lb tc free spirit helicals even upgrading my spod rod, they will probably work well enough as an all rounder, then stop dicking around and start a little baiting campaign around the lake in one or two quiet swims and start catching again. Simple stuff really 😂

Jag alarm aligners seem to have worked, I now have 2 perfectly aligned alarms on my 3 rod buzzer bar, I didn't bother trying to align this one 😳
