  1. Was meant to fish Saturday. Got two miles form the lake and got a puncture! Spent the rest of the day getting recovered, then waiting for new tyres and tracking to be done. £300 later I went home, and didn't even get to cast out. Not the day I was expecting. So, undeterred, I went on Sunday. I tied a chod rig for my new super squid pop-ups, made ground bait from vitalin and other goodies, chucked a glug of fish and liver hydros in there, and fermented overnight. I made some HNV boilies glugged and coated in powder, then finished off witn a glaze of Minamino. I fished that in a PVA bag with pellets and some special K squirted in there. After all of that - blankety blank! lol. And it was baltic once the sun went in. That said, it was so good to be back on the bank again, so all worth it

  2. I got the beach rods out this morning, 10mins in, the sea crashed over the sea wall and far too many gallons of freezing seawater landed right on me! Both waders filled to my knees, totally soaked through top to toe. Manned it out for an hour or so, but 6oz leads were been thrown up the shingle by the force of the swell, so I gave it up and went home early.

Blank for me too! The bailiff said the same as above, no carp out since last year. Hopefully they will switch on in April when I next get out. Nice to get on the bank, though

  5. Blank from me, had lots of new bits lately so it's to be expected, don't think many have been catching though, sent the Jolly Roger out on its maiden voyage, Had a couple of issues with a sticking trap door but once I got that sorted it was fine(dryish mix required and don't put gooed up solid bags directly on it 😂) bit slow but for £100 it will do the job, otherwise was nice to be out had a chicken jalfrezi and a beer, slept fairly well, was plenty warm enough in my navitas onesie, got woken up by a duck fight at 6:20 and I had bacon rolls for breakfast 😂 Home now 👍

  6. Just noticed that the lakes I fished for a good few years , on & off , The Chase lakes at Dagenham/Rush Green has introduced quite recently a rule banning Zig Rigs and Floater fishing . Meaning if the sun comes out you might as well pack up and go home . Why would they do that ? it’s certainly made my mind up whether to fish there this summer .

  7. My alternator packed in the other week. I'd driven around 20miles towards the lake when the battery totally went, must have been low anyway as I hadn't driven for a couple of weeks. Had to wait tor 2hours to get towed back to Ipswich. Cost £150 for tow back to mine, £50 for new battery as I think the old one was cold affected and wasn't holding charge properly, then £260 for the alternator. The garage had the car in over the weekend as the first replacement delivered Saturday was damaged. On top of £350 for MOT at end of December was not happy.
